Mara 29 Posted October 2, 2007 Hopefully y'all will figure something out. I just noticed the headphones a few weeks ago. I don't think the old computers were set up with headphone jacks or anything, at least, for the guests.
Vergere 1 Posted October 5, 2007 So the fire alarm went off this morning.... when i was IN THE SHOWER. >.< but hey, at least I was awake...
Princess 35 Posted October 5, 2007 You gotta love those fire alarms while in the shower
Mara 29 Posted October 5, 2007 At my college, they always told us which day the fire department was coming to test the alarms.
Drake 53 Posted October 5, 2007 They don't always have to be tests. Living in a student residence means living with a good number of people far stupider than you...and some of them like to do stupid things with fire.
Princess 35 Posted October 5, 2007 Yes, like the people who thought it'd be funny to throw a bicycle tire at their smoke detector until it went off. Of course, my hall also set the record for the number of fire alarms in an academic year (65) and fires (2)

Yeah, but it seemed the stupid people on my campus used other things besides fire, lol. 'Sides, candles were banned in the dorms.
Princess 35 Posted October 6, 2007 (edited) Oh trust me, candles aren't the only things that can start fires. Black light and rubber cement Burning chicken grease Take out container from cafeteria lit off And just because candles aren't allowed, doesn't mean they don't pop up. Trust me, I confiscated plenty of them Edited October 6, 2007 by Princess
Mara 29 Posted October 6, 2007 (edited) Oh, I know. Just like how alcohol wasn't allowed... and my apartmentmates made margaritas just before they left for Christmas break. Anyway, today wasn't bad. I'm tired though. But less than 2 hours and I go home. Woo. Edited October 6, 2007 by Mara
Drake 53 Posted October 6, 2007 No alcohol? How repressed. We were allowed booze. :p

Jon-Michael 0 Posted October 6, 2007 No alcohol? How repressed. We were allowed booze. We're not allowed to have any alcohol at my college, but they sell shot glasses, mixers, and a guide to drinking games in the student store. Go figure. =P
Mara 29 Posted October 6, 2007 (edited) Haha... I think our campus store had shot glasses, too. They're "collectible." And, howdy... welcome back after a long.. hiatus... Edited October 6, 2007 by Mara
Jon-Michael 0 Posted October 6, 2007 Doesn't explain the mixers or the drinking game book, though. :p

Vergere 1 Posted October 6, 2007 That sounds vaguely familiar. I've been out playing DDR (last night), swing dancing (tonight), and social dancing (tomorrow night) instead of studying. :p
