Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available in our footer and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

Log files are maintained and analysed of all requests for files on this website's web servers. Log files do not capture personal information but do capture the user's IP address, which is automatically recognised by our web servers.

Upon registering your details (including IP and email address) may be checked against a database of known spammers at and and if a number of matches are found then registration will be blocked.


User Accounts and Posts

By creating an account you give consent for us to handle your data. It is your responsibility to ensure that any data we hold for you is kept up to date. Your user profile can be deleted at at any time from your user control panel.

Forum threads and posts are able to be edited or deleted for a short time after they have been submitted, after this has elapsed the content is considered to be part of Galactic Basic. If a user account is deleted any previously submitted posts will remain, but the original creators details will be removed. This is in the interest of maintaining the integrity of the content, while giving users the right to remove their personal details.

If there are specific posts that you wish to be removed, please contact an Administrator and this will be decided on a case-by-case basis.


Our Commitment to Children's Privacy

Protecting the privacy of young people is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.



This website does not store any information that would, on its own, allow us to identify individual users of this service without their permission. Any cookies that may be used by this website are used either solely on a per session basis or to maintain user preferences.

We use Google Analytics to analyse visitor information. This data is used solely to improve our content and the user experience. 

While browsing you may see advertising provided by Google AdSense which may be targeted based on your browsing history by Google's own advertising systems - we do not see any of this browsing history.
