TheUnknown 39 Posted January 16, 2008 An update on my cousin: He is now awake. He still won't focus his eyes, but he will squeeze someone's hand when asked to. I don't know what sort of recovery he might/should make physically, but the doctors say that after a few months, he should make a full recovery mentally. Ana 15 Posted February 12, 2008 My grandfather, who's been in a nursing home for seven years with severe Alzheimer's, went into a coma over the weekend and is currently on life support. He's held out a long time, but it looks as though this is the end. And even though he's been nonvocal for over three years, this is a very hard time for my family. TheUnknown 39 Posted March 21, 2008 Not for me. My academic advisor/boss/professor has had a bad week. She had applied for a job at another college, but didn't get it. TheUnknown 39 Posted March 24, 2008 I found out some things after I posted: 1) It was FIFTEEN horses that died. 2) They were going to move the horse to another barn. Now, they feel guilty. 3) Carol (my advisor)'s daughter has a birthday in a few days. It was technically her horse. Everything they got her was for the horse. Ayingel 24 Posted May 20, 2008 (edited) i'm headed into the doctor's tomorrow to find out just how bad my kidneys are getting. i've been having a lot of pain the past few weeks and it's been getting worse. i'm just not sure what they're recommending this time... edit: UPDATE ct scan's on friday morning...diagnoses after that.
