Andy 60 Posted July 30, 2004 more unemployment for lazy deadbeats. Oh gee, have you thought that not all people on unemployment aren't deadbeats? Because I'll tell you something, my dad is drawing unemployment right now because his company downsized and eliminated his position because he was too damn expensive. He's been trying to find a job but the economy in Michigan ewoking sucks right now. He couldn't draw unemployment for a full year because he wasn't eligible and things were damn tight around my house. Right now he has a job that is helping us make ends meet but while he's waiting to get into something that pays close to what he used to make, we have to depend on unemployment money because he's making half of what he used to make. Right now we're barely making it because the unemployment check is late getting here, that's not fun. Yeah, thanks a lot for insulting my family. ewok off. Prin, I'm sure he didn't mean to insult your family. Everyone puts their foot in it sometime. My family was been in the same situation as yours is now for about 2 years, just got to keep your hopes up. It'll turn out alright in the end. :)

Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted July 30, 2004 Busy, you're a right winger. GI, you're a left winger... But ... im right handed...wouldnt that make me a better right winger? hey, i'm left handed and a right winger. :p
chozen 1 Posted July 30, 2004 Anyway, how about we just say that everyone will always have differing views on politics and no matter how hard you try to force your ideas on other people, they'll still believe different things. So, let's just stop debating politics...it's kinda pointless and it leads to hostility. Then no one would come to this website because in all honesty.... Arguing is the main attraction round here. hey, i'm left handed and a right winger. lol... you're not right winged..
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted July 30, 2004 more right wing than most everybody else. not qute as right wing as Ender or Bushy though, lol.
Ender 8 Posted July 30, 2004 Kerry would give control to UN...so it isn't just US dying... Look what happened when Clinton gave the UN control of Operation Restore Hope in Somalia. The whole operation was going really well under US control, we had Aidid and the other warlords under control... and then the UN took over. They took the pressure off the warlords, and were driven out of Somalia because of it. It would be even worse in Iraq and Afghanistan if we gave control to the UN. chozen 1 Posted July 30, 2004 i never liked Clinton in the first place.. at least Bush isn't sleeping with every secretary in the White House. So you'll vote for Bush, regardless of whatever his policies are... Just because Klinton had an affair? .... What was your dad's job before he got laid off princess? Andy 60 Posted July 30, 2004 Arguing is the main attraction round here. Well I might as well shut the ewoking site down then if there is no point of coming here besides the very things I hate about the place.
Princess 35 Posted July 30, 2004 Prin, I'm sure he didn't mean to insult your family. Everyone puts their foot in it sometime. My family was been in the same situation as yours is now for about 2 years, just got to keep your hopes up. It'll turn out alright in the end. I'm sure that he didn't either, I just can't stand it when people make vast generalizations like the one that all people on unemployment assistance are deadbeats and are too lazy to find a job when in truth there are no jobs out there. And I'm the hard-ass... M'kay... Eh, that was just one of many things that pissed me off yesterday and I just let go there What was your dad's job before he got laid off princess? My dad was the manager of a warehouse for a Fortune 500 company (JCPenney) and his job was eliminated when they changed their shipping policies. We thought that he was going to get an in-store job again but the week before the warehouse closed he was told that he was too expensive and he had to fill out his own termination papers

"Under Control" just like we have Iraq "Under Control" for acting so patriotic you seem to not give a damn about our soldiers...and we already made it worse. They attack us because we're invovled in everythign because we're the biggest country. We feel it is our duty to help. They dont want our help so they attack us...and what do we do...we just get involved more...I dont think that just because we stay there, they will stop attacking. Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted July 30, 2004 i never liked Clinton in the first place.. at least Bush isn't sleeping with every secretary in the White House. So you'll vote for Bush, regardless of whatever his policies are... Just because Klinton had an affair? politics and policies aren't the only things i look at about candidates. morals are important to me as well, and Clinton seems to have had none. no, i don't agree with everything Bush has done. let's face it, nobody wants to go to war and i don't like the unemployment situation anymore than anyone else does. but he has more information than we do on these things. at least he has the courage to stand by the decisions he makes instead of caving and flip-floping to whomever is writing the check that week. Bush is the president, like it or not, and it is my opinion that the American people, and other world leaders, should respect and support him as such. that doesn't mean blindly follow everything he does. there's a right way to express a differing opinion, and quite frankly i'm disgusted with how those who have one are handling it. i don't see how any of them could do any better. Bush makes the hard decisions because that's his job. the consequences of those decisions affect millions of other people, so he had better be darn sure it's the right decision. only he will have to answer for it.
