Chickenman 9 Posted February 22, 2005 I finnally saw the final two matrix movies last night...err..*checks clock* the night before last night...I thought he was pretty good in those. Matrix Reloaded: A Great movie. Ton of action, intriguing plot. The action was just...woah. Tons of good stuff in here. The only problem was that I found myself lost on the plot a couple times, but that's probably because I was sick and recovering from a fever. Oh yeah, another bad part was having to wait through 20 minutes of Sex and the City commercials before Revolutions came on. Matrix Revolutions: A+ Just...wow. The sci fi battle in here rivals the battle of Endor...perhaps surpasses it. The final battle between Smith and Neo was just plain jaw dropping. God, the action was great. I really need to see this one day when I'm not sick.
Uncle Du 22 Posted February 22, 2005 My biggest gripe about Revolutions was the fact that the ending was all like, happy and cheesey. I mean, walking into the sunset? Come on. I think that was a little much. They should have just ended it with the machines carrying Neo away.
Andy 60 Posted February 22, 2005 lol, my rating of the Matrix movies goes like this: The Matrix: A Matrix Reloaded: B+ Matrix Revolutions: C
Chickenman 9 Posted February 22, 2005  C??? C??? *Faints* And Du, I forgot about that. You know how when something really traumatic happens, the brain sometimes blocks the memory so you don't have to experience the trauma again? That's what happened there. :p
GI_Admiral 2 Posted February 22, 2005 Mine would be something like that to, atleast in a descending order
Uncle Du 22 Posted February 22, 2005 And Du, I forgot about that. You know how when something really traumatic happens, the brain sometimes blocks the memory so you don't have to experience the trauma again? That's what happened there. LMAO! I saw Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior the other night. Holy crap man, that movie was AWESOME! Tony Jaa is definitely the next martial arts phenom. The guy is incredible. He's kinda like Jet Li and Jackie Chan rolled into one. He's quick as hell, and does all his own stunts. I sear, it really looked like they were beatin' the crap outta eachother. I definitely recommend this movie to any self-respecting martial arts fan. I give it an A, just for the action alone. Also, I bought Zatoichi: The Blind Swordsman. Another great flick, though the Japanese like to put a lot of pointless crap in their movies that have nothing to do with the plot. Like at the end, when there's this huge dance number, with tap dancing and junk. I scratched my head and thougt, "What happened to all the killing? And why the hell did everyone start tap-dancing!?" But I give it a B+.
TheUnknown 39 Posted February 22, 2005 I haven't seen the second and third movies, but I felt the first one was overrated. Sure, the visual effects were awesome and the main premise behind it is amazing, but it seems like they left way too many plotholes, didn't develop some of the characters, and rushed it. Some time down the road, someone needs to turn it into a tv show or miniseries and draw the plot out. Otherwise, the subplots come and go too fast.
Drake 53 Posted February 22, 2005 The Matrix Online MMORPG picks up where Revolutions ends and players get to continue the story. I guess that could work to draw out the plot...
GI_Admiral 2 Posted February 23, 2005 Pfffft after EtM came out who would trust another matrix game :p

Uncle Du 22 Posted February 23, 2005 Weird. After all this Matrix talk, I had a dream about it last night. Don't really remember what happened, but I know it had something to with it.

Ender 8 Posted August 12, 2005 I just saw Coldplay live last Tuesday night... A-frigging mazing. It started off with Evan, my sister, and I squeezing our way through the crowd to the pavilion (8th row... weeeee) and once we got set up, we listened to the opening band, called Black Mountain. They sounded like Radiohead meets Seether, and their opening lasted FOREVER. Anyways, the lead singer was playing a really damn nice yellow Gibson Firebird V. After they finished, Evan and I went into the crowd and I got a huge soft pretzel and a Coke. We went to the Make Trade Fair booth only because we saw the One bracelets (the stop world poverty thing) there, then the woman at the booth went Nazi on us and said "No! You have to fill out a petition before you get the bracelet!" So we did, and got our cool white bracelets. Then we went over and got stuff from the shop. The shirts were $35! At all the other concerts I've been to, the shirts have been more like $20! Anyways, I gave in and got a shirt, and Evan got a poster. Then we went back to our spot, and hung out for a really long time waiting for Coldplay to come out. Evan and I came out with the theory that Chris Martin is a vampire and can't come out till it's dark. Finally, once the sun was well down, the show started. This is the setlist... Square One Politik Yellow Low X&Y Speed Of Sound The Hardest Part Everything's Not Lost Twisted Logic White Shadows Kingdom Come Clocks (People went frigging INSANE when this came on) Talk (my favorite song from X&Y) Encores: Swallowed In The Sea In My Place (Chris came down into the crowd and climbed one of the pylons at the end of this... it was awesome) Fix You Overall, the show was amazing. It was easily just as good as the Oasis show back in June, with just as much energy. I'd see them again in a heartbeat.
Alexander 0 Posted August 12, 2005 some kids who want to be rock stars or something. i never saw it either. ← Then it'd be good you don't give an inaccurate plot description about a film you've never seen. William Miller is a 15 year old kid, hired by Rolling Stone magazine to tour with, and write about Stillwater, an up and coming rock band. It's basically a biography of director Cameron Crowe's life as a Rolling Stone journalist.
Drake 53 Posted August 12, 2005 Good Lord. I have a couple friends who like Coldplay and I don't know how they can stand that crap. I listen to it for 5 seconds and I'm starting to drift off to sleep. Coldplay is the most boring band I have ever heard. Even more boring then Moby. And their bleeding music videos are like their songs...all the same. It's just the lead singer wandering around looking like he's half asleep. I'm amazed that anyone can listen to them for the whole length of a song without drifting off to sleep let alone standing for a whole frickin concert. Coldplay (aka Crapplay) = Worst. Band. Ever. Tsl 7 Posted August 12, 2005 (edited) Hehe, I kind of like them. Not my favorite, but they're pretty cool. I have one of their albums. My mom was going to get us tickets to that show, Ender, but I had to work, so we just scrapped the whole thing :( Edited August 12, 2005 by Tsl
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted August 12, 2005 i like "Yellow," but that's really all i've heard of Coldplay. i like Crossfade's "Cold" too.
