Princess 35 Posted October 22, 2005 Artist: Nickelback Album: All the right reasons Grade: A This album rocks. The lyrics are fun, catching and memorable. The songs stick with you and they are wonderfully mixed. Chad Kroeger sounds absolutely amazing. I love this album

Ender 8 Posted October 22, 2005 Okay, it's that time of year. Because I'm impatient and I'll probably forget, I'm doing my Top Ten list now. Any really good albums that come out later this year, though their doesn't seem to be much, I will enter if I feel they are worthy. Now, a recap... 2001: Travis- The Invisible Band 2002: Tie between Paul McCartney's Back In The U.S. and Oasis's Heathen Chemistry 2003: South- With The Tides 2004: Neil Young- Greatest Hits And in the running for the 2005 Top Ten list are... Kasabian-Kasabian The Coral- The Invisible Invasion B.B. King- 80 Paul McCartney- Chaos And Creation In The Backyard The Rolling Stones-A Bigger Bang Bob Dylan-No Direction Home Neil Young-Prairie Wind Oasis-Don't Believe The Truth Kaiser Chiefs-Employment Doves-Some Cities X&Y-Coldplay Demon Days-Gorillaz Stories Of A Stranger-O.A.R. In Between Dreams-Jack Johnson The Hard & The Easy- Great Big Sea Guero-Beck As Is Now-Paul Weller Get Behind Me Satan-The White Stripes And, here she is... but it's a Top 12, because there were too many good albums this year. Number 12: Greatest by Ian Brown Number 11: Prairie Wind by Neil Young Number 10: Invisible Invasion by The Coral Number 9: Some Cities by Doves Number 8: The Hard & The Easy by Great Big Sea Number 7: No Direction Home by Bob Dylan Number 6: X&Y by Coldplay Number 5: As Is Now by Paul Weller Number 4: Kasabian by Kasabian Number 3: 80 by B.B. King Number 2: Chaos and Creation In The Backyard by Paul McCartney And number 1... goes to Don't Believe The Truth by Oasis There you have it. This comes after I took all day listening to the different albums on my list, and realizing that the Kaiser Chiefs aren't really that great, that Paul McCartney is still the best musician on the planet, and that Oasis still is the best band in the world. Say bias or whatever, these are my picks. I'm taking the boys from Manchester. Now, for the rest of my awards. These are in no particular order. Best Singles: The Importance of Being Idle- Oasis Fine Line- Paul McCartney Hummingbird- B.B. King Black And White Town- Doves This Old Guitar- Neil Young Best Live Act: Oasis Band That Most Needs To Call It Quits: Dave Matthews Band Best Newcomer: Kasabian Best Festival Live 8 We're Really Glad To Have You Back: Paul McCartney B.B. King Ian Brown Get Your New Albums Out Fast: Radiohead Travis Blur Pulp Dickhead Of The Year: Robbie Williams

Aurelius 1 Posted November 10, 2005 (edited) Movies I won't be seeing: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - Where do I start? I never really liked the whole idea of the books, and the movies I hear are changed from the book (some little or big things). Just another way to make money. Doom - I'm sick of people trying to make extra money with stupid movie ideas, it's a game not a movie. King Kong - I'm not sure about you guys, but I'm not paying to see a giant ape run around. Flightplan - Is Hollywood running out of ideas? When I saw the trailer, It pretty much gave away the whole movie. Legend of Zorro - Ok, the first was bad enough, do we really need a sequel? Ok, I will add to my list in due time. All the movies coming out sound horrible. And to make matters worse the bloody tickets are expensive enough. </end rant Edited November 10, 2005 by Aurelius
Chickenman 9 Posted November 10, 2005 I saw this album on iTunes aerlier that reminded me of Chickenman... It was calledd "Enter the Chicken" :nerves:
Alexander 0 Posted November 10, 2005 The Harry Potter movies are actually pretty decent, and the third was surprisingly good. But you're right about the others, although I hear Flightplan was actually pretty good too.

Tsl 7 Posted November 11, 2005 The HP movies are awesome. The books are better, of course. Actually, so far the HP movies have been way better about being faithful to the books than most movie adaptations. Like the piece of sith The Two Towers was, for example. Alexander 0 Posted November 11, 2005 The best book adaptation will always be Fight Club.
