So any fans?  Not as good as Game of Thrones (which I got into at the same time), but still a very good show.

My favorite characters are probably Daryl and Carl (I don't get why people hate Carl so much).

Wow did we really not have a thread for this?

I really love this show, got into it late but all caught up at the moment and can't wait for the next series!

I really like Daryl and Carl too, even if Carl is going a bit dark side. But then who wouldn't, being raised in those circumstances?

That's what makes Carl so interesting to me.

Also, did you know that the actors who play Rick, Maggie, and the Governor are all Brits?

Yeah, there are a lot of Brits in US television at the moment. I think it's part of a greater plan to infiltrate you from the inside...oops, I've said too much! ;)

It's weird knowing that this show is filmed in and takes place in my home state.

I wonder if they're going to go with some of the things that happen to him in the comics, like losing his eye or almost getting raped.

Here's a question for you.  Was Carl justified in shooting that teen at the end of last season?  I've seen it argued two different ways.  One being the tact that Harshel goes for that says that Carl killed him in cold blood.  The other says that the kid wasn't surrendering, that he was inching closer to Carl with the gun still in his hands.

As a Brit, I think I'm biased on the side of not shooting the kid. Personally I think I'd have given him the benefit of the doubt, but been cautious.

By far the most interesting thing from the premier was the end.  I do know if that means the virus is now airborne or what, but it should make from some interesting TV.

First episode was on last night in the UK. Also wondering what the ending means... or if it is as simple as he was ill and died so turned?

Either way the episode went too fast lol

I think the virus they're all carrying has mutated into a new strain that can kill without having to be bitten first, causes hemorraging, and allows for very rapid reanimation.  The question then becomes is this new strain communicable through water/air/food/touching/etc.

I'm hearing speculation that it's Ebola.

So far this season has been kinda....slow.  Going from season one, which just seemed non-stop, hang on for the ride type story-telling, now I find myself, getting bored with the episodes.  I mean, you don't HAVE to wait until the very end of the episode to do some crazy stuff!!

We are a week removed from the new season dropping on Netflix.  I'm really excited.  Poor Will needs to catch a break.
    • Michelle Rejwan appointed SVP of live action TV and film

Lucasfilm has appointed Michelle Rejwan to the post of Senior Vice President of Live Action Development & Production, to oversee the future ofof Star Wars live action TV and film projects.
Rejwan has worked with JJ Abrams on Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the upcoming final installment of the Skywalker Saga, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Her other film credits with Abrams include Star Trek Into Darkness and Super 8.
The Mandalorian and the untitled Cassian Andor series are currently under production for Disney+, and more Star Wars films are in the pipeline, so Rejwan will undoubtedly have input into these projects as she undertakes her new role within Lucasfilm.
    • New images from The Mandalorian

The first season of The Mandalorian will be available to Disney Plus subscribers as soon as it launches on 12 November 2019, it has been announced. A second series has already been ordered by Lucasfilm.
New images (see below) have also been released, and attendees at Celebration Chicago were treated to some behind the scenes footage and an exclusive clip of the Jon Favreau live-action Star Wars TV show, that were cut from the live stream, but there was no official trailer shown.
The Mandalorian follows a mysterious lone gunfighter (played by Pedro Pascal) on the outer reaches of the galaxy, about five years after the Battle of Endor seen in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. The titular character's true name is unknown, and he is said to be of "questionable moral character".
Gina Carano will play a former Rebel shock trooper named Kara Dune, with Carl Weathers portraying Greef Marka who heads up a guild of bounty hunters.  Werner Herzog appears to be some kind of Imperial administrator who hires the Mandalorian for a mission. Other supporting cast members include Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, and Nick Nolte.
The show is said to have a Western feel to it and Favreau has said he would include elements from other parts of the Star Wars universe such as the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series, and has he has also taken some inspiration from the Star Wars Legends expanded universe.

    • The Mandalorian

The Mandalorian is a TV series set after the fall of the Empire, featuring an all-new cast of characters. It was announced by Disney CEO Bob Iger in November 2017, and will air on the new streaming service Disney+ in late 2019.

      Plot Summary
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
