Mara 29 Posted June 2, 2009 I hope not. That was one of my worries. That and my eyesight going out. But so far, no pain in the ol' hands. And my eyes are feeling good.
Mara 29 Posted June 2, 2009 Indeed. So far the only pain is in my back. :p
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted June 2, 2009 then you need one of those erganomic chairs to improve your posture. or take up yoga. :p
Ender 8 Posted June 2, 2009 Country music is horrific and soul-destroying. I'm listening to loads of late-60s psychedelia and Krautrock right now, and it's absolutely awesome.
Uncle Du 22 Posted June 2, 2009 Country music is horrific and soul-destroying. That is absolutely the BEST description of country music I have EVAR heard!!
Drake 53 Posted June 2, 2009 People who listen to country music have the highest rate of suicides due to the depressing nature of many of the songs. "Mah woman left me. Mah dog died. Mah truck broke." That sort of thing. :p
Andy 60 Posted June 2, 2009 What about emo music? :p
Mara 29 Posted June 2, 2009 (edited) then you need one of those erganomic chairs to improve your posture. or take up yoga. Or maybe I'm old and just need to stop slouching so much. People who listen to country music have the highest rate of suicides due to the depressing nature of many of the songs. "Mah woman left me. Mah dog died. Mah truck broke." That sort of thing. Actually, the newer songs are a lot more upbeat. And some can be quite dirty. :p Edited June 2, 2009 by Mara
Ender 8 Posted June 2, 2009 I just remember the one time I ever drove through Tennessee, and the two songs I remember hearing on the radio had these titles: "Dropkick Me, Jesus, Through The Goalposts of Life" "I Woke Up, and She'd Gone Ugly"
Drake 53 Posted June 2, 2009 And that was when you stepped on the gas. :p

James the Defender 7 Posted June 3, 2009 People who listen to country music have the highest rate of suicides due to the depressing nature of many of the songs. "Mah woman left me. Mah dog died. Mah truck broke." That sort of thing. But if you play it backwards, you get everything back And besides, not all country is about depressing stuff. There are some great bar songs. Like "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)," "Comin' to Your City," "Jalape?o," "20 Margaritas," "Sideways," "Alcohol." There are also beautiful love songs like "To Make You Feel My Love," "Amazed," "Lost in This Moment," "She's Everything," "Livin' Our Love Song." Then there's just the songs that rock, like "She's Country." There's a wide variety of country music. I'm not one for the depressing ones, so I switch back and forth between the two country stations I pick up here. When one is playing depressing, the other is usually playing something good...unless both are playing, like, Rascal Flatts or Keith Urban, then I turn on the classical station coming out of Philly. Drake 53 Posted June 3, 2009 In order to say something embarrassing, one would have to be embarrassed, I think. :p
Bad furday 57 Posted June 3, 2009 Oh. Then I'm embarrassed because I've seen enough country music videos to know who those two are ;)

Bad furday 57 Posted June 3, 2009 *Boredly slumps in a booth* Verify Disk is taking an incredible amount of time Tech Support said to see if the HD showed up in Disk Utility, and to click 'Repair Disk' if it did. I did so. The computer then told me to Verify and Repair the disk. So I clicked Verify Disk instead. And now I wait. *sip*
