A lot of it is self inflicted.

Bringing in the guy who nearly sent Home Depot down the hatch, and proclaiming he'd turn the company around. *snicker* Building vehicles that are, by today's standards, subpar, in mileage, looks and interior materials. For example, the current Chrysler Sebring...has evolved into a design mess, with them taking all the design cues they came up with from the past 5 years and tacking them ALL on one car. And as far as interiors go, they just look cheap, with that cheap plastic everywhere, mold lines, and a generally dated look.

Funny. They just announced on the news here that they'll be merging with Fiat.

Edit: I guess they still did, technically. More like Fiat is absorbing what's left of the company.

The merger with Fiat was something that had to happen for them to get the money from the government. I think it's funny that now these people who are holding Chryslers remaining debt are getting bashed for not taking a buyout at a fraction of what they're owed. The government is going to try and make them look like bad, "Un-American" people for not "helping" out an American brand. But like Furry said, this is the companies fault, because they didn't recognize a decade ago that they were going to have to continuously improve their product to compete with foreign competitors. It was that good ol fashioned American ignorance that has brought the US automotive industry to it's knees.

And don't even get me started on the labor monopoly. Unions are a good idea up to a point, but this s*** has gotten outta hand. Now the auto unions have this feeling of self-entitlement. Makes me sick.

They're both Alfas. The one on the left is the 8C Competizione...the one on the right is the MiTo...which you buy when you realise you don't have enough money to buy either the 8C, or the 159 :(
