Ender 8 Posted June 16, 2006 (edited) It's not that hard to get to, B. Plus, what is there in Stourport, besides eat McDonald's and watch ships be built? ;) Edited June 16, 2006 by Andrew
Andy 60 Posted June 17, 2006 (edited) They don't build ships here. And there isn't a McDonald's in Stourport. Aaaanyways, there is a Safari Park nearby, plus Alton Towers and the Cadbury factory are prolly about an hour away. It's not too far from Birmingham which isn't that bad a place to go if you want to do some shopping, and you can get a ?15 return to London from Kidderminster, which is about 15 mins drive away. And I didn't say stay in Stourport anyway! :p Edited June 17, 2006 by beeurd
Link 3 Posted June 17, 2006 well you folks have fun... once i'm out of europe, i am NOT coming back.
Ender 8 Posted June 17, 2006 They don't build ships here. Really. My uncle's ordered a canal boat that's being built in Stourport.

Andy 60 Posted June 18, 2006 well you folks have fun... once i'm out of europe, i am NOT coming back. But this is the UK, not Europe. They don't build ships here. Really. My uncle's ordered a canal boat that's being built in Stourport. A barge is hardly "a ship". :p
Ayingel 24 Posted June 18, 2006 ah...those poor people who don't live near a river that's an established trade route
Andy 60 Posted June 18, 2006 Pssh, Stourport used to be one of the most important inland ports in the country. There is an old shipping logbook a guy I know found that details a load of concrete going through that was used in D-day
Uncle Du 22 Posted September 17, 2006 A GB meet? What?
CorSec 5 Posted September 14, 2007 2008 approaches. Is there still interest? Toronto is the real winner for the following reasons: - Hockey Hall of Fame - uh...see above again And thirdly, getting all the non-Americans across the border is a hassle! The US Border people will have you spread-eagled on the pavement. The Canadians are a little more relaxed. (This reason totally applies to beeurd too)
Drake 53 Posted September 14, 2007 You say Toronto simply because you wouldn't have to leave. But I agree with your conclusion. Either there or Niagara Falls area (where I live). By the way, CorSec, I'm going to Wonderland tomorrow with a pack of friends. You should totally go! ;)
Mara 29 Posted September 14, 2007 Toronto would be semi-close by me... But with the new rules, I need a passport to go into Canada now.
Drake 53 Posted September 14, 2007 And we would need a passport to get into the States. And everybody would need a passport to go anywhere else. So it really doesn't matter one way or the other. :p
