Chickenman 9 Posted March 31, 2006 I don't think I'd want a big city like either Boston or NYC. *shrug* Meh, your needs. Boston bums attack me So do the all of us at GB. Might be safer to just not go. :p

Mara 29 Posted March 31, 2006 Aw, camping can be fun! And Chicken, I just meant that it may be more relaxing in a somewhat smaller city. *shrug*

Rogue 4 Posted March 31, 2006 How about that camping trip? Okay...Mara has a city issue, but i have a serious camping phobia. I mean all those bugs...and if anything happens you're miles away from civilization...not to mention the bugs. Did i mention I hate bugs? Also, i don't like sleeping on rocks, especially rocks where bugs could be. I just don't like bugs. And personally, i like the city idea. it's fun, there's lots to do...we aren't just staring at eachother for 3 days straight. If we did NYC, i know the whole area...there's great restauarnts, theres an amusement park like a half hour from the city. I know a good drive in theater in NY state which is about a half hour away. Not to mention tons of places to shop, and hundreds of things to see. Then again i'm from Jersey so i'm biased :p
Chickenman 9 Posted March 31, 2006 On camping- Bugs are only a tiny part of the camping experience. You get used to them. Sleeping on rocks is...well...not fun, but part of the experience. 'Sides, you just make sure to not pitch the tent on them, and you're all set. You're not all that far from civilization, usually, and if something happens, you've got a cell phone, and someone certified in many kinds of first aid. (Me) And...yeah. But I don't want to go camping for this. On New York- New York is overrated. Boston is where it's at.
Mara 29 Posted April 1, 2006 Dudes, it doesn't have to be rustic camping. There's plenty of campgrounds near towns... and they come with electric and water and the whole package. Some even have cable TV.
Andy 60 Posted April 1, 2006 I was only joking about the camping, lol. Anyways, wherever we go it has to be a pretty awesome city. That is not too expensive. NY is fine by me as it is one of those places that you just have visit sometime. Technically I already have, although I was about 1 year old a tthe time. Never went to the Statue of Liberty though. Not sure about the Empire Strikes Back State Building... Hmm...
Chickenman 9 Posted April 1, 2006 Boston is pretty gosh darn cheap, methinks. Awesomest city in the world. Lots of cool stuff. The duck tours. Museum of Science is pretty sweet, and they have a Star Wars exhibit at the moment (probably gonna see it soon) aquarium. Bunker Hill memorial. Lots of historical things, actually. And...the Red Sox...*drool*
