Mickey 1 Posted December 13, 2005 Yeah, gay marriage is sooo gay.
Uncle Du 22 Posted November 23, 2006 K, I had to dig this up, because if no one knows, there is now a couple filing for "gay" divorce. I thought it was somewhat commical, because when the law was passed, no one seemed to think that a gay couple that gets married would ever get divorced. :p
Chickenman 9 Posted November 24, 2006 Of course there are going to be gay divorces. Just as there are heterosexual divorces. Maybe we should just outlaw marriage in general!
Andy 60 Posted November 24, 2006 omg, the sanctity of marriage is destroyed forever! :p
Chickenman 9 Posted November 24, 2006 I know, right? I hate the whole sanctity of marriage argument. A good percentage of the people that use that one are probably divorced.
Andy 60 Posted November 24, 2006 even anulment (where the Church says that you were never married in the first place) is a farce. I'm off topic, whoops.
Tsl 7 Posted November 24, 2006 annulment is also a legal term, not religion specific.
Chickenman 9 Posted November 24, 2006 I can see how marriage sacred. If you can reverse it like it never happened, it has to be!
Uncle Du 22 Posted November 24, 2006 Nothing is sacred any more. I think divorce should just be completely outlawed. For everyone. I bet that would make people think twice about getting married. :p
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted November 24, 2006 well, maybe not outlawed, but a lot harder to get. if it's something like abuse or adultery, then they should be able to split, but not because they just don't like each other anymore.
Uncle Du 22 Posted November 24, 2006 Well, I was kidding any way. I've never really been able to wrap my head around the concept of divorce, except in extreme cases. I can't believe that I would ever just one day wake up and want to divorce my wife. And besides, if I ever caught my wife cheating on me...well, lets just say it would be a crime of passion. :p

Hmm. I actually agree with that. :cool2:

GI_Admiral 2 Posted November 30, 2006 lol so because you get married you're stuck with them, even if you hate each other. That's a good sign for freedom, especially in a thread of gay marriage...which is also about civil freedom lol

Ana 15 Posted November 30, 2006 But I think that's something that needs to come from within. It's not the government's job to make us take marriage more seriously, people need to teach their children to take it seriously.
