Andy 60 Posted August 21, 2004 Oh, and by the way, I really expected staff to behave a bit more civilized in the public forums... How silly of me.
chozen 1 Posted August 21, 2004 (edited) Well.. lets think about it... for a sec.. They're not actually staff are they? I mean.. It's not liek they're a stick or cane.. A short stick.. They're not made out of the wood stuff.. And they're definitely rod or baton carried or a symbol of authority that serves as a staple or support! So hah! You're wrong! take that back! Drake 53 Posted August 21, 2004 Sorry B. We were only joking with the whole fake argument thing. We will try to act more civilized in the future. The operative word being try....since this is GB and it's hard for people to do that. :p
Tsl 7 Posted August 21, 2004 Hehe, it's sorta sad and funny at the same time that people would think we were truly fighting over a tv show (though I really don't like it, and he really does) Back on topic! Our joke arguement: C for effert :p
Bushy 0 Posted August 21, 2004 Hehe, it's sorta sad and funny at the same time that people would think we were truly fighting over a tv show Well I think it's sad/funny that you would think we believed you really were arguing. So there.
Tsl 7 Posted August 22, 2004 Yeah? Well....I think it's sad/funny that you think it's sad/funny that I thought it was sad/funny. So there. That said.... 2004 Summer Olympic event: synchronized diving........I can't give this an A-F score. I'm just gonna give it a: wtf?!!
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted August 22, 2004 i thought it was pretty cool, but weird
Tsl 7 Posted August 22, 2004 Cool, maybe. Yeah....but an Olympic sport? I dunno....
Princess 35 Posted August 22, 2004 Actually, synchro diving is probably one of the hardest sports. You have 4 judges just watching your synchronization, watching everything from height to hand position, rotations per minutes and water entry. It's tough to be in perfect alignment with your partner all the time
Tsl 7 Posted August 22, 2004 It's better than sychronized swimming, I guess. I consider that more of an art/dance thing than a sport.... *waits for people to yell at her* :p
Bushy 0 Posted August 22, 2004 I agree with you TSL...
Tsl 7 Posted August 22, 2004 Oh no! Bushy and I agree on something? The world is ending!! :p ;)
Princess 35 Posted August 22, 2004 Synchro swimming is a bit artsy, but I"ve done a bit of it, and it's not as easy as it looks
Tsl 7 Posted August 22, 2004 Oh I'm sure it's extremely difficult. I just am not so sure it qualifies as an Olympic Sport. I mean....painting, marching band, and building card castles are all difficult and require a great deal of talent and skill, but they aren't sports either, lol. Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted August 22, 2004 Well said! *waits for JM to say something about dancing and sport* dancing is so a sport. seriously, though, there are dance competitions you can win good money at.
Drake 53 Posted August 22, 2004 Brotherhood of the Wolf: A+ This was truely a great movie. It's in French but you can subtitle or dub it. Plot: Set in 1776 France, a beast begins terrorizing the G?vaudan region, attacking mostly women and children. Some believe it's a huge wolf, or a dragon. Some say it's the devil. All of France, even the court of Louis XV, is affected by these unexplainable crimes. Enlisted by the King of France, a knight named Gregoire de Fronsac arrives in G?vaudan one autumn evening to solve the problem. The noble young man is accompanied by Mani, a Mohawk Indian whom he met in New France during the seven year war. Both main characters (the knight and the native) are both exceptional fighters. Expect a number of awesome fight scenes which usually have one or the other single-handedly take on large groups of enemy attackers. I thought that the native (a Canadian...w00t!) was a ninja at first because his fight moves looked like kung-fu, lol. The movie has nudity in it...including that of Monica Belluci, for those who care. :p
