More quotes from Arrested Development

J. Walter Weatherman: And that's why you always leave a note!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael: You taught me a lesson about not teaching lessons?

George Sr.: That was my last lesson.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gob: Where am I? Two-thirds of a hospital room?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gob: Are you Hermano?

Spanish actor: Como?

Gob: You're gonna be in a como, pal!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael: You knew all along, didn't you?

George Michael: Sorta. One of the hot cops was my choir teacher.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gob: (smoking) It's cold out here.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael: (about George Michael's test) A-?

George Michael: Are you proud of me?

Michael: Very proud... minus.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lindsay: [saying how stress can lead to drugs] ... like the stress you put on George Michael, even when he gets an A.

Michael: *Minus*, and he knows an A gets him ice cream.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

George Michael: (arguing with his math book) Dumb, dumb George Michael, dumb...

Michael: Hey, calm down there, you two; it's just a math problem.

George Michael: Yeah, but if I fail math then there goes my chances to get a good job and have a happy life full of hard work, like you always say, right Dad?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael: (to George Michael) I want you to take the rest of the day off. Here's 20 bucks, buy something you don't need, be a kid, make mistakes, get in trouble.

Buster: Yes, make a mistake. Take 225 from me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael: Well, it's not like you made a commitment to her or anything.

Buster: No, not a commitment... but I did refer to it as "our nausea," but that was when we were going at it pretty hot and heavy.

Michael: Well, now it's my nausea.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Buster: [describing Lucille 2 as he saw her without glasses on] ... a darkish area with... points.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gob: Gilligan killed the Skipper - I mean, the stripper!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lucille: I don't want to leave Buster alone with all the J-you-I-C-E.

Buster: I can spell, Mother; you spelled juice.

Lucille: What a genius. Let's see you find it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael: We're gonna go on a fishing trip.

George Michael: Why? What did I do?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael: [to Lucille] You're giving the company to a guy who thought the blue part of a map was land?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gob: [whistling] I have some conditionsss...

Michael: Do you?

Gob: ...termsss... One condition and one term!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Prison guard: No touching!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael: [in police car] What'd you do?

George Michael: Just trying to be a good guy.

Michael: Me too... let's go visit Pop-Pop.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Narrator: On the next Arrested Development, Buster moves to the kitchen.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[After letting Gob back into the magic Alliance]

Alliance member: How'd you find two Alliance-approved assistants so fast?

Gob: Oh, I just used my nephew and my girlfriend.

Alliance Member: You're out.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maeby: [as Surely] No more BS! No more BS!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gob: Michael, you have a chance to save this family. Please, do the right thing here - string this blind girl along so that Dad doesn't have to pay his debt to society.

Barry: The solution to all our problems is staring you in the face and it can't even see you!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

George Michael: Say what you want about America - thirteen bucks can still get you a hell of a lot of mice!

Gob: Who said anything about America?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oscar: Your mother called me for a reason. I don't think she's happy.

Buster: No, my mother's happy! She's just mean all the time!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gob: Three guys hanging out together... what could be more butch than that?

Hungarian: [consulting phrase book] I will not buy this record, it is scratched.

Tobacconist: What?

Hungarian: I will not buy this record, it is scratched.

Tobacconist: No, no, this is a tobacconist.

Hungarian: Ah! I will not buy this tobacconist, *it* is scratched!

Tobacconist: No, no, tobacco... cigarettes.

Hungarian: Cigarettes? Ya ya.

[consulting phrase book]

Hungarian: Ah... my hovercraft is full of eels.

Tobacconist: What?

Hungarian: My hovercraft is full of eels.

Tobacconist: Matches?

Hungarian: Ya ya! Do you want... do you want... to come back to my place, bouncy bouncy?

Tobacconist: That will be six shillings, please.

Hungarian: If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me... I am no longer infected.

Some quotes from Van Helsing. They mostly involve Carl (aka David Wenham...aka Faramir), who is Van Helsing's sidekick.

Carl: Oh Hell...

Van Helsing: Hey, I thought monks weren't allowed to swear.

Carl: I'm not a monk. I'm only a friar. I can swear all I want. *grins* Damn it.

Frankenstein's monster: Let me go!

Carl: Where are you going to go? I don't know if you've looked in the mirror lately, but you kind of stick out in a crowd.

Village woman: *after being rescued from vampiric bat creatures* Whatever can I do to repay you!?

Carl: *whispers in her ear*

Village woman: But...I thought monks weren't allowed to do that.

Carl: I'm not a monk, I'm a friar. I can do whatever I want!

Village woman: *grins*

*looking at a syringe of werewolf serum in a glass case of some liquid*

Carl: You grab it...

Anna: No, you can grab it...

Carl: I've learned the hard way not to stick my hand in an unknown viscous fluid.

"Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable? Or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?"--Rob (John Cusack), in voice-over

"We're no longer called Sonic Death Monkey. We're on the verge of becoming Kathleen Turner Overdrive, but just for tonight, we are Barry Jive and His Uptown Five."--Barry (Jack Black), introducing his band

Barry's Customer: Hi, do you have the song "I Just Called To Say I Love You?" It's for my daughter's birthday.  She's in the hospital.

Barry: Yea we have it.

Barry's Customer: Well, can I have it?

Barry: No, actually, you can't.

Barry's Customer: Why not?

Barry: God. Do you even know your daughter? There's no way she likes that song. Oop, is she in a coma?

[Rob is there and is mad about the lost customer]

Rob: Why the hell'd ya do that?

Barry: Rob, top five musical crimes perpetuated by Stevie Wonder in the 80s and 90s? Go... sub-question... is it in fact unfair to criticize a formerly great artist for his latter day sins, is it better to burn out or fade away?

Last time I checked, however, there was an English language. :p

And to get back on topic:

Jon Stewart: As you know, we cater to a pretty young audience, how does your message relate to young people?

Howard Dean: I think young people are interested in the environment and the economy because...

Jon Stewart: I'm sorry, I think we're speaking to a younger audience.

Howard Dean: Young people are interested in green grass, and not spending more money...

Jon Stewart: I think we need to go younger.

Howard Dean: OK... Cleanliness, and...

John Stewart: You know what, maybe you could just jangle your keys for a while.

Beeurd wasted the 100th post of this thread! He didn't even quote anything!

Mel Gibson: [During an interview with Diane Sawyer] God ordains everything. God made my bed, you know?

Jon Stewart: ...Mel Gibson is one lazy mother

[beep]

Jon Stewart: . Can't you make your own bed? God has things to do! Make your bed! God can't say, "I have to end a famine... oh, wait! Gibson's bed!"

Steven Carell: [as announcer for Moviefone] Hello, and welcome to Moviefone. To select "The Passion of the Christ", press 1. To select Jesus Christ as your personal savior, press 2. If you were one of they who mocked him, ye I say unto thee, press 3. To hear these instructions again in Tongues, press 4.

[As Dennis Kucinich holds a peace sign after voting]

Jon Stewart: Congressman Dennis Kucinich voted in his home state of Ohio. As he left the booth, he held up a peace sign... and held it... and held it... he's holding it... and still holding it. Kucinich was then asked for the millionth time why he was still running for president; at that point, he lowered one of the fingers.

Yup, "you" is a pronoun and you can end sentences with pronouns. ; )

But "...upon you" is a prepositional phrase...and I don't think it's proper to end with one of those....
