Jake Durron 23 Posted July 18, 2011 I base it on the fact it's been at least 1 if not 2 years since I received a threatening letter.
Jake Durron 23 Posted July 18, 2011 damn! you mean the roommates were right? *pouts* Oh well... the fact that it HAS been 4 years means they'll probably take a settlement.
Drake 53 Posted July 18, 2011 Sooo I went to see Zookeeper tonight. It was actually pretty funny. Kinda dumb in parts but overall funny. But that's beside the point... We got to the theatre, got our snacks and sat down. Commercials then trailers roll. We get 3/4 into the Captain America trailer and the power goes out. Okay, no biggie. I'm not THAT excited about the movie. One of the employees comes in and apologizes saying she'll check on what's going on and will be back in five. Exactly five minutes later she pops her head in to make sure things were good. Peachy. Five more minutes, she returns telling us that they can't get power back so they have to evac the building. Good news: we all get free movie vouchers...hooray! Since the moment the power went, I had this cruel thought niggling in the back of my mind. Which lead me to ask her, as she handed me my voucher, "So how pissed is the Harry Potter crowd?" She groaned and replied, "Pretty pissed. All FOUR theatres of them!" All I could do was chuckle the whole walk outside. That was the highlight. To wrap up the story, we booked it to the next town over to catch a bit later of a show. Good times. Sucks for the HP fans.

Pandora 77 Posted July 18, 2011 Omg don't laugh at the Potter fans! I would have been pissed too!! I wouldn't have like yelled at an employee or anything but sure would have been irritated at the situation.
Jake Durron 23 Posted July 18, 2011 Ooh I would have been piiiised. Schadenfreude meter is going high!
Princess 35 Posted July 18, 2011 LOL. That happened to me a couple of months ago because the tornado sirens went off. They told people that they could either stay, they were going to restart the movie in a few minutes but they had to let everyone know that the sirens were going off, or they could go and get a free movie voucher. So I just called about the infection control position that I applied for about a month ago and found out that they haven't even interviewed people yet because they don't have a place for that person to work. Drake 53 Posted July 18, 2011 So I just read that post as though it was one complete story. Took me a few seconds to figure out that you didn't call infection control while at the theatre. :p
Princess 35 Posted July 18, 2011 That's why I hit enter several times :p
Bad furday 57 Posted July 18, 2011 I was like, What movie theatre has infection control? Unless that's an ultra PC name for the ushers now :p
Jake Durron 23 Posted July 18, 2011 Lol! We had the very end of How to train your dragon glitch and we got free passes. Oy roommates... I get something in the mail, which MIGHT be my paycheck, and even though I gave her permission my roommate won't open it to tell me or even tell me if it's addressed to Jake, Meghan or Maeghan... (check from former boss, work, or statement from the bank saying I'm 2 bucks overdrawn) oy
Jake Durron 23 Posted July 18, 2011 Knowing my luck it's the bank saying I'm overdrawn.

Princess 35 Posted July 18, 2011 Good idea. The living room isn't so bad, but the rest of the house is. I was going to move some of my stuff around while they pack, but I'd just be in the way, so I'm playing with the dog. Actually, I just teared up while playing with him. I'm gonna miss Charlie

Haha, nice. When I went to see Ep 3, the sound cut out right at the beginning, and so they had to fix it and restart the movie. And we got nothing for it. :p

Bad furday 57 Posted July 19, 2011 Went to see Harry Potter with the fam this evening- and they'd just gotten started- to the point where Ollivander's like, "This wand...belonged to Draco Malfoy!" when the lights flickered on then off, and the screen went blank! Yes, the cinema had lost all power! Got ticket refund voucher thingys. Will try again tomorrow night This is one of those circumstances that people unfamiliar with the law of large numbers would call a coincidence!
