Wicked, by Gregory Maguire.

Trying it out based on a recommendation. So far, it's all right.

I found it to be a slow read, but I'm finding out that all of his books are so

Yeah, it's a bit slow, but it probably is just because I'm not as interested in the characters as I usually am.

But there is still enough there to keep me on to finish it.

Great reads.

I'm reading The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger.

Took me a while to get into the swing of the writing style and stuff, but I'm enjoying it.

Looking forward to seeing what the film does with it.

Very funny. About 15 comedians have had their lives threatened so far.

The Duchess. I didn't realize when I bought it though that it was the biography of Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire. I thought that it was the novelization of the movie

Hoping my other book comes because I've almost finished this one. Good read, fast read.

Rising Sun by Michael Crichton.

Partly because my other book hasn't arrived, partly to get ready for Crichton's new book coming in December. Yay!

"Belushi"

It's a great oral biography of John Belushi, as told by the people whose lives he touched during his tragically short time on Earth. The book really shows what a larger than life guy he was. Not in that he was a crazy out of control drug fiend, but he was just this incredibly warm, loveable guy who was truly unique and treated his friends at the most important thing in his life. Did he abuse drugs, leading to a tragic death? Yeah, and it's fully detailed in here, but the biggest thing you take away is just what a wonderful human being he was.

And it's damned funny too.

Northern Lights, by Philip Pullman.

It's the first of the His Dark Materials trilogy, and was adapted into the film The Golden Compass last year.

It's pretty good. :)

Better than the film. :p

Rising Sun, Michael Crichton.

Had to put it aside earlier, but now I can finally finish it... albeit bittersweetly.

Have you ever seen the TV series? It's pretty awesome. Way better than the lame film the made a few years back.
