Drake 53 Posted May 21, 2005 I refuse to believe that Mace is dead. When he got thrown out the window, he landed on the back of passing transport speeder and was later nursed back to health. :p
Ayingel 24 Posted May 21, 2005 I just saw it...I have to disagree...he must be dead. But anyway... I went to the movie for the noon showing (i stood inline...in the rain...in a denim coat....with the book in my pocket). I cried when I saw the children!!! I couldn't help it. When the masters were bing killed, I could feel the tears...so sad!!! I knew it would happen, but, my goodness...it was awful. Danielle was crying too. Anyway, after the movie, we walked out and I was holding the book because I was about to read more...and a guy who worked there said, "There's a true fan. Costume, she's seeing the movie AND she brought the book with her." The little kid in the line behind me coming out of the theatre thought I was the coolest person around and asked me to sign her popcorn. I feel so special! :D

Guest Makia Posted May 23, 2005 lol At seven my dad, little bro, cousin and I went to my grandparents house to watch Eps. 1 and 2... then I got into my jedi punk outfit... my cousin went as Vader, and my grandmother went as Padme... (She looked like padme with red hair and a tattoo) then I joined in the lightsaber battle using the new reverse grip technique my cousin taught me and beat this fx saber... all I can say is omfg!!!!!! I was literally hyperventilating and shaking within the first 10 minutes and sobbing during the last 30... and I made my entire section snicker when I started cooing at Luke and his little pug nose... snicker
Andy 60 Posted May 23, 2005 I was literally hyperventilating and shaking within the first 10 minutes Not again! Mind you, hardly surprising after Rick McCallum's footage at C3 had you hyperventilating... :p
Guest Makia Posted May 23, 2005 dont forget the shaking!!! If I had my bellydancing belts on they would have been rattling big time!

CorSec 5 Posted May 23, 2005 I dressed up. Take that! haha..so embarrassing and ridiculously fun at the same time. Well worth it. Droid slapstick, and R2 hijinks in the beginning? Bumped the status of the movie down from OT worthyness to mere king of the prequels. Otherwise, about as good as George is capable of at this point. Again, Grievous was down in like..10 seconds. (Reminds me of Anakins exceptionally short-lived affair with dual sabers in AotC).
Drake 53 Posted May 23, 2005 Matt Stover should have written the script for George. On second thought, ANYone should have written the script for George....and directed it. I agree with CorSec...so much more could have been done with Grievous.
Andy 60 Posted May 23, 2005 Personally, I think they should have introduced Dooku in TPM, had him kill Qui-Gon and then survive, but dissapear back into the shadows. In AotC they could have introduced Grievous, dealing with his introduction in AotC and giving him more action in RotS. *shrug* lol
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted May 23, 2005 I refuse to believe that Mace is dead. When he got thrown out the window, he landed on the back of passing transport speeder and was later nursed back to health. exactly. no really, i swear Mace isn't dead. *will have to write a story about it later, lol* and yeah, Grevious really sucked. i was like "whoopde frikin do, a robot with lightsabers." he was not as much of a threat as they could have made him. which really bugged me, considering the hype. Tsl 7 Posted May 23, 2005 watching the clone wars cartoons helps with the lack of Grevious' backstory, lol. While watching the movie I was actually thinking to myself if people hadn't seen it, they'd be somewhat clueless about things, lol.
SoftballJedi 0 Posted May 23, 2005 The movie was great. Spectacular. I loved it!! I was cracking up when I saw Dooku's reaction to Palpatine telling Anakin to kill him. I don't know why. I started crying when Mace's arm was cut off to the end of Order 66. Ki Adi Mundi looked so sad when his clones turned on him! This movie was different from the others, but I think the best. GI_Admiral 2 Posted May 24, 2005 Indeed, im sure many people wondered about why Grevious was coughing
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted May 24, 2005 i got it. but even watching the Clone Wars cartoons, i still didn't get what the big deal about him was. ah well, George has to have at least one random character in every movie.
Tsl 7 Posted May 25, 2005 Dooku didn't need to be. They should have just kept maul around and had a giant battle between him and Anakin. Now that would have been sweet!

Princess 35 Posted May 26, 2005 Du emailed this to me and asked me to post it because he's deployed right now and his internet goes in and out. Okay, so exactly a week later, I FINALLY GET TO SEE THE FREAKIN MOVIE!!!! Thank God I stayed outta this thread till now. All I can say is, HOLY sith!! To begin with, I was dissapointed with my overall experience, because I didn't get to see it when it opened. There was no one dressed up, no screaming, or cheering (except me). All the fanfare that I have grown accustomed to in seeing these movies was absent. To make matters worse, I saw it with 2 people that aren't freakish Star Wars fans like myself. We just pulled into NYC today, and this was all that was on my agenda. But, as far as I can tell, I got everyone here beat so far: I got to see it on a 100 foot IMAX screen!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Now THAT was an experience. And as for the movie, do I really need to talk about it? I mean, it's a masterpiece! We can sit around all day, and pick the movie apart (and believe me, I have been), but in the end, it was everything that I could have hoped for. It was incredible. Okay, it was a let down to see Yoda tuck tail and run in the end. He and the Emperor were at least an even match. I think that Yoda was MUCH more powerful, but the Emperor had one thing that Yoda could not weild: an extreme hatred for the Jedi, and everything they stood for. On top of all the pain that Yoda had felt from all the deaths, and all the evil, he was definitely not in shape to beat the Darkest Lord of the Sith. God, I wish I could have seen it with some true fans!! *sobs* So there it is, my way behind story of how I got to see RotS in New York City, in an IMAX theater with only 10 other people in it, and how I had no one else to REALLY enjoy it with. And just as a note, Anakins FX replica saber is waiting for me at home back in Virginia. YEA BABY!
