I apparently had cavities in them that ran the risk of infection ... but when I looked at the xrays I couldn't see any (having a caviy on almost every baby tooth I would've recognized one). But oh well, they're gone now

Most dentists will tell you they need to come out whether they do or not, IMO. Just like everybody needs braces

I kinda "need" braces. For my bottom teeth at least. They're all messed up. My top teeth are perfect though. My mom's like that too, and so is my grandmother. Must run in the family... At least that's what the dentist says. He told my mom that I needed braces, and that they'd have to pull 4, that's right 4 teeth, in order to make everything line up. Plus it would cost us some rediculous ammount of money, and I'd have them for years. Then he walked out of his office to get some paperwork or something, and my mom and I talked it over. I told her that there was no reason to spend that ammount of money to give me a "perfect" smile. And besides, I didn't have any problems taking a bite out of a slice of pizza. And that's what teeth are for, right? Eating. Well, she agreed, and we just walked out before the dentist got back. :p

I had braces when I was a kid....but I had hideously bucked teeth, lol. I hated my braces, but I see pics of me when I was 7 and 8 and I'm really really really glad I had them done.

Yes the dentist is the one sitting in the chair. One dentist told me I needed braces the other said he was an idiot, lol.

(offtopic) Someone upgraded my connection to 1.5mbit for free oh well I'm not complaining ;)

2 years with braces. It was a minor issue. Nothing that would result in death...and when I smiled...you wouldn't notice.

I was against it when they put em in and made sure everyone knew that. Of course, my parents assured me that I would be thankful for it later.

After they took them off I told my parents they had wasted thousands on something that didn't matter in the least to me. Money which could have gone into my post-secondary education. Really made sure they'd frickin trust my judgement in the future.

The evil leagal people in Trenton are evil.

Some of you probably know that I took the GED a few weeks back. Well, on the test I had to fill out a form with a bunch of information that would help them identify me. One of the required fields was something like "Name of the last school you attended". Since I was homeschooled, and didn't want to cause any confusion, I raised my hand like a good little German boy and asked what I should put there. I was told to put "Home Schooled". Which I did. As it turns out, my mom had asked the people at the testing center the same question back in May when she had to fill out a consent form for me to take the test, and the idiots there told her to put the name of the school district I was in. Sooooo, that fudged things up a little. Then, the woman who administered the test (real nice lady), contacted us a week after the test and told us about the confusion, and asked what school I really went to. We told her I was home schooled, and she said that she would try and resolve it with the legal people. Turns out that they weren't satisfied. Oh, no, their records had to be perfect, so my mom and I had to drive an hour out to Long Branch just to fill out a goddamned piece of paper.

Now, 3 weeks after I took the test, the test form hasn't even been processed by the grading machines, and I need those results in 6 weeks when my post-secondary schooling starts. And it takes them 4 to 8 weeks to get them mailed. If I don't have those results, then I'm in a mess of trouble, since we've already aranged to take out loans for 17 grand.

F you, legal-people-in-Trenton.

Yes...it was. Something I don't use often (nor at all) but I had to make my point clear. They messed up. They wouldn't listen to me, before...or after. It's not my fault they don't understand me.

a GED is the equivilant of a HS diploma for those who either dropped out or, like Bushy, were homeschooled.

Yeah, like they said. GED stands for General Education Development I think...

I actually owe, personally, a little over 2 grand. The rest my parents are paying.

Just to clarify... for you High School Diploma, do you just take the one test, or do all of your classes count towards it?
