Doesn't seem to make a difference. I can rest and it doesn't get any better, and I can type and it doesn't get any worse.

Edit:

Although having said that, it seems to come and go... all except for a small penny-sized spot on the right-side of my wrist. :???:

Yesterday it felt like someone had put rubber in my wrist or something it was just a very odd 'spongy' sensation (but not painful at all) when I moved it. I got a similar sensation on my let wrist too.

I do have to say though that it hasn't been painful, and I haven't noticed any loss of strength as a result of this weirdness.

I'm also feeling worn out again a bit today, despite having a good 8hrs sleep.

Not sure what to make of it all... Because it seems to come and go I half think I've imagined it. lol :???:

Kinda hope it gets worse before I see the doctor or I'll feel like I'm wasting his time lol

You probably would have mentioned it if you did but have you noticed any hard lumps on your wrist when you move it around or bend it forward?

If so, it's probably a ganglionic cyst., or a randomly knotted up cluster of nerves. I had one for a while that went away and then came back a few months later. The doctors said that, if it didn't impair the use of my hand or cause me pain, to just leave it and it would go away after a while. For now, it just looks like a bone is going to come out of my wrist when I bend it. :p

Anyway, if it is a cyst and it's causing you trouble, you'll probably have to get it surgically removed.

K. I have shingles. And it SUCKS. They're like a bug bite, on top of a sunburn, on top of a bruise, and then your nerves feel like they're in an electric storm. The first week, I felt alright, but I couldn't go into work because, hi, hospital, not allowed to be contagious around the sickies. So I had to wait until my spots scabbed over. But my body's reaction to being ill is always 'sleep moar', so I've been unable to go to work on account of being temporarily borderline narcoleptic. I've fallen asleep standing up in the shower, this weke. So, unable to drive myself into work to work. So it's been two weeks, I haven't worked, and am therefore really freaking poor and really sick of sleeping 16 hours a day and not having the energy to do ANYTHING.

Why do people think I want to chit chat? This week so far has been particularly bad.

Rambler the First asks what class we have at 10am. I barely look up and point to where I've convienently listed all of today's classes on the white board and mutter "Intermediate Word." I'm already irritated as I've got a newspaper on my desk (and am obviously reading it). Hubster and I can't afford a subscription, so I can't even remember the last time I got to read the comics.

Rambler: Oh. Ok. I think that one's a little too advanced for me, so I'm not going to take it.

Me: Whoop-de-doo. *tries to go back to newspaper*

Rambler: It's cool how many classes the library has. But you know which one really makes me laugh? Basic Access. There's nothing "basic" about Access. You familiar with all the Office prorgrams? They used some big database program as their inspiration for Access. *blah blah blah ramble ramble ramble. I tuned him out at this point with only the occasional "Mhmm" and go back to the newspaper. He finally goes away*

Rambler the Second took the class. She took class yesterday too. She also has to yammer on about nothing. Mostly about how wonderful the "training" offered by the library and how she was going to take this other course, but they only gave her a couple hours' window and then required a test at the end and that's just not right because she can't learn it that fast and it really sucks that her lack of skills with Office is keeping her from getting a job, but maybe it's not that bad since being out for the summer means she can come and take all the classes she wants and really learn it good, and something about the bus faire going up and the President promised a lightrail system and yadda yadda yadda....

Seriously, people. I've got stuff to do. I don't have time for this nonsense. GO AWAY!

Ramblers are the worst. I always seem to run into them in places that I have to wait, like, the social security office. :p

I'm like, just sit here, shut up, and be patient. How hard is that.

Ooh custom aliases. I'll create two for my real life examples ;):(

We have ramblers ( sounds like a sort of rodent infestation....."Honey, call the exterminator! We've got ramblers in the basement!" ) at work.

Ahem...

"That Dumb b****" never shuts up and talks stupidly about anything. Anything you say or do, she or someone she knows can do one better. ie: "Oh, you're an artist? My cousin is an artist....she only has one eye, as she lost the other in a freak bow and arrow accident!" <---- NOT making that up.

"Sportboy Whiner" complains all the time or talks about sports, mostly football. ie: "Oh...these chairs are too uncomfortable. I'm not getting enough hours. Why don't they talk about football in the paper anymore?"

*sighs and bashes head on something* :p

This is not a job...for geniuses, by geniuses, or with geniuses. :( :p

Wowwwww. More wow at the "Sportboy Whiner". Why don't they talk about football in the paper any more? Um, cause it's not football season maybe? Douche.

Yes, except he's old enough that I wouldn't expect him to paint himself in Giants colours whenever he goes to a game.

I've complained about him here before... which is ironic I suppose, as he's always complaining :p

A friend from college called and we had the same thing to report. At our respective work places...it's either sports or stupid things...no chance to have an actual intellectually stimulating conversation.

At least I have two geeks to converse with. That helps.

My day just keeps getting better. I took the second of my certification boards May 18th and my printout from the exam states I should have my official results within three weeks. I still don't have either of my official reports for either exam, so I called up the NMTCB office today and was told my results were sent out YESTERDAY. For anyone counting, that's FOUR WEEKS after my exam date before they even sent it out! Grrrr..... And the ARRT will be getting a phonecall if my results for their test aren't in my mailbox tomorrow as tomorrow will be four weeks post exam date.

Sooo, lil update.

Firstly, I've felt a bit better since I have stopped worrying so much, so I guess some of it was being aggravated by stress, lol.

Still getting pain and occasional pins and needles or other weird sensations in my right hand and knee though. It's not like major pain lol, it's just more annoying than anything.

The doctor did a a few tests to see if it was carpal tunnel or whether the ulnar nerve was trapped in the wrist or elbow but none of the tests he did reproduced any tingling, pain or other sensations.

He also checked my blood pressure, heartbeat and looked for signs of anaemia... and again found nothing wrong lol

SO, basically if I'm still having problems in a couple weeks time I'm to go back and he says we'll see about getting a Nerve Conduction Study done. woo, sounds like fun... :???:

I think we are presuming the fatigue was heatstroke or something unless it reoccurs, which it hasn't done since that weekend (which was the hottest days of the year so far over here).

EDIT: Don't worry, that link isn't vulgar or anything.

So, my PayPal account got hacked this morning, and a purchase was made on it. It was online goods purchase, and I was really pissed off (obviously). I got on the phone with the PayPal security peeps, and they're going to refund my money, so that's all good. Curious, I wanted to see what exactly was purchased, so I got the purchase details and found that "I" had purchased a 3 month premium membership to this website. I suddenly wasn't as pissed off any more, and had a really good laugh on the phone with the PayPal security lady. :p

*snerk*

I was coming in here to post about Stupid Drunkard, but he just left, so the urge to recount the tale has fled. But I will say this: completely and obnoxiously blasted by 1pm (in all likelihood, probably earlier) is no way to go through life, son.

Oh, goodie. He's back.
