so, the clinic i'm rotating through had camera issues on Monday. the scanner went down, so the techs sent me home. no big deal, i can't do anything anyway since the camera's not working. apparently, it was down yesterday too. finally get it back up this morning after much coercing, begging, swearing, and sacrifices to the camera gods on the part of the service engineer. needless to say, there's a tremendous backlog of patients needing to be scanned. most had already been rescheduled, but patients had appointments as late as 5:30pm. normally the latest appointment is 2:30pm. i knew i wasn't getting out early today like i normally do, and even offered to stay late if they needed me. instead, they sent me home at noon. i kinda resent the implication that i would just be in the way and wouldn't be able to work as quickly and efficiently as they would. yes, i'm learning. but i'm not incompetent. i know how to run the camera and i'm fairly confident in my ability to start IVs. and if they'd show me how to burn the images to the CDs and put them on the network, i'd be happy to do that too.

Has anyone ever been told how KRIFFING ANNOYING it is to tape a ceiling when you're painting?

i've experienced it. are you taping a popcorn ceiling? it's easiest to take a damp rag, wet the popcorn right next to the wall, scrape it off a little, then put the tape on. it will stick better and won't ruin the ceiling.

It's not really software. It's more of an intranet that you log into and your professors can upload course information and assignments and you can send them your work and post in discussions, etc.
