This is getting cruel! I swear you're making me feel sorry for him. And when the sympathy starts, I, um, I start falling for people. The more people dislike someone, the more I like them. Which is why two of my fav EU character's are Borsk and Kyp.

I'm with Hal on the Bush thing. He really isn't all that popular with the rest of the world. It really bugged me that he ordered the invasion of Afghanistan with no proof that that was where the attck had come from, apart from the assumed races of the hijackers. It was a relief when Osama admitted to the attack.

Sorry, but I think Bush did everything right. It doesn't matter whether or not the attacks really did come from Al Queada (sp?): they are (well, were now) a strong terrorist group. If we don't stop the terrorists, we are rolling over and dying. I refuse to do that, and I'm glad we have a president (finally) that does too.

Going into WWIII (you know this is the beginning of it), we need to show that we will NOT stand for terror. I think Huesain knows that if tries anything funny, he's next. Of course, we have to hope that doesn't happen, cuz he'll use nukes. And he does NOT need to go through NATO to use them either.

See, personally, I really, really, really want to avoid a WWIII. Really, really, really. And I know a huge amount of people feel the same way.

What bugs me about Bush is that he refuses to consider that there might be a valid reason all of the terrorist groups seem to target America. Many do have valid reasons and causes, but some people refuse to see that their country may have it's faults. At least during the Cold War there was another superpower, to balance out the influence America has over the world. Note that until the twentieth century, when America came into it's own, there weren't any huge wars, jsut scuffles (in comparison) between the leading European countires, who seemed to change from century to century. NOw there's just America, it's allies and it's enemies.

I think the reason they seemed like "just scuffles" is the times. Fighting wars meant (and still does, but on a different level) man-power, firepower, and location/ territory. There weren't 6 billion people on the planet, weapons were crudes, not very effective, and hard to come by. Communication was terrible (Britain didn't know that the Revolutionary war was over until a few months later), making it hard to know when, where and why a war was breaking out, therefore, less countries couldn't act upon it. And there were less countries anyway.

I don't think WWIII is avoidable. Look at the Middle East. Theres a couple muclear powers down there waving the ignition buttons in each others faces, and they WON'T stop because we want them to. We've got Saddam Heusain breathing down our necks, bin Laden still on the loose, China which actually sided either way definitively, not to mention disagreements on the homefront! There is no way to stop it entirely, because it has already begun. I don't want another WW either, but I'd be willing to fight for the free world. It's not Americans against an enemy, it's the free world against terrorism.

The terrorists (mostly religious radicals) feel they are in the right, and will stop at nothing to destroy us and what we stand for. Too many people have given their lives over this already for us to stop now and say, "can't we settle this over a nice game of checkers?" The terrorists don't want to play nice: they want to get what they want, and what they want is total control.

If a way to avoid a war presents itself (which it hasn't yet), absolutly, let's take it! But so far the only thing we've gotten is death threats, bombings, and plane crashes.

It doesn't matter who was at fault, as long as we know how to prevent a recurrance of 9/11.

The easiest and safest way to despense with a problem is to destroy the core, and right now, that means stomping on terrorists. What if the next target is a school?

How many people have to die before it becomes a real problem? 287 million? 6 billion??? No, I think 2,000 was too much as it is.

the reason we were attacked was b/c they thought we would roll over and complain but not do anything thats what Clinton did (the damn nerfherder). Now we have shown our willingness to fight and everyone thinks we're wrong... SCREW YOU to those that do.
