It's more than likely somebody you know....it's a rare thing to be attacked several times by a complete stranger.... Unless Proboards is such an easy target that people go around hacking them all the time.

Well, I visited the wonderful world of proboards support....and it seems someone else had the same problem, three times hacked, but it was because of his password.

Basically they blamed me for having an easy to guess password, even though I've been changing it every few days.

Meh......I've went for the big guns and have a completely arbitrary password now.

And I changed my e-mail password.

Hopefully it will stop...

On another note....this doesn't mean that you have to be afraid to visit my board.

I hate my computer.

I used to have a very good one. Then it got infected with spyware and daddy had to replace it. So he built me a new one. It was going fine until it was infected...about 2 weeks later. He's rebuilt it about 5 times, and every time it dies horribly due to much spyware.

But this current one is special. This current one is super, mega, uber eval.

1) Can't play any of my pc games. When I try, an error pops up saying I don't have 3d software. But I do. I was playing games before the pc fell to the dark powers of pc doom.

2) When online, when scrolling, it goes down in chunks, instead of one, fluid motion. This is annoying, doesn't look good, and wastes time.

3) In order to go online, I have to sneak in. Clicking on explorer crashes my pc. I have to access MSN messenger, then click on a link there, and then go to a diffrent site from my favorites list.

4) I can't use search engines, it crashes my pc.

- Make a game based on teh Command and Conquers: Generals engine will you? And then make it only support Win 2000 and XP and not Win98 like Generals did?

- List the specs on your website completely wrong will you Futureshop? Lull me into a false sense of security and then dash my hopes as I insert the damned game disc?

- Make multiple OS's will you? DAMN YOU.

1) Double check you have the latest drivers, if you do consider rolling back to the previous version. With some machines an older driver works. Also, check if you can update the computer's BIOS. If you are really stuck then that sometimes works, but it probably won't in your case.

2) That'll be a browser setting. Look in the browser options for "Smooth Scrolling" or something similar. Failing that it is probably a memory problem.

3) If you mean Explorer as in Internet Explorer then it's probably spyware or something. Get Firefox. If you mean Windows Explorer (eg: My Computer/My Documents etc.) then it's screwed up.

4) Could be spyware also.
