Uncle Du 22 Posted November 25, 2006 Hmmm...here we go... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2964751562925463883 Hehe, that's pretty funny. Though for a Wii commercial, I thought it was kinda dumb. That's how I want my console to come across: clueless as to where the rest of the industry is going. :p
Chickenman 9 Posted November 25, 2006 I can't get over how unbelievably stupid the Wii is. I really can't.
Uncle Du 22 Posted November 25, 2006 In a way, I can see how it would appeal to parents of younger kids, that like the interaction aspect to the console. But, on the other hand, and as a parent, there are times when I want to play a shooter or another graphically violent game when my son isn't around, and Nintendo just doesn't offer it like Sony or Microsoft can. But, Nintendo will struggle through this console again, then come up with some other "revolutionary" thing (at least in their mind). I think Nintendo needs to go the way of Sega, and just make games. God knows we need another Mario Cart. :p
Ayingel 24 Posted November 25, 2006 ^-^ what did you think of the people? Awesomeness. They looked so realistic. I really liked the dancing ones at the end ....that's because they were! Then I watch cartoons and play World of Warcraft. Freakin sweet. what realm are you in?
Ender 8 Posted November 25, 2006 All right, The Pick of Destiny is undescribably amazing. See it now.

Chickenman 9 Posted November 25, 2006 In a way, I can see how it would appeal to parents of younger kids, that like the interaction aspect to the console. It's just not a console without a gamepad. I just can't see playing a video game by remote control.
Uncle Du 22 Posted November 25, 2006 It's just not a console without a gamepad. I just can't see playing a video game by remote control. Heh, yea. That's why I'm never going to get one. Oh yea, and to download old NES games, it costs $4.99 a game. I mean, do they have any idea that you can get most of those games for about .99 cents nowadays?! Ridiculous. Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted November 25, 2006 ah, but do you still have an NES system? ;)
Uncle Du 22 Posted November 25, 2006 No, I just get the ROMs off the net and play em on my computer. But a couple of my friends still have em, and they usually get their games off Ebay for real cheap.
Andy 60 Posted November 25, 2006 You still see the odd NES floating around sometimes too. shouldn't be too hard to find one cheapcheap if you wanted.
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted November 26, 2006 there's a game store down the street that sells NES games for like, $.50.

Uncle Du 22 Posted November 26, 2006 My brother said that some guy was bowling with his Wii and threw the remote though his plasma screen TV Dude, that's freakin awesome! See, the Wii is just much more hazardous than the PS3 or a 360. :p
Tsl 7 Posted November 26, 2006 I've heard that the wii is fun and that the control thingy the "wii-mote" *gag barf* isn't so bad. Besides....there are so many great jokes you do. "I'm going to go to my friend's house and play with his wii" and etc. Also heard the PS3 got terrible reviews

"I'm going to go to my friend's house and play with his wii" and etc. Also heard the PS3 got terrible reviews Sony completely messed up with the marketing of the console. There's no debating that the technology used in it is second to none, but they just don't have a good enough game line-up to compete with the 360 at the time. Give it a year, and everything will be evened out again. Sony and Microsoft both claiming superiority with identical sales numbers. I'll have both of em by then any way. Ayingel 24 Posted November 27, 2006 ah, but do you still have an NES system? i do. with the original system bag. and game boxes. and games. and game sleeves. and the duck hunt gun. and the track mat. and cheats for Mickey Mouse Adventure. and cleaner. Uncle Du 22 Posted November 27, 2006 Don't get me wrong, I'm still all about Sony. And get this, in my area, apparently the first day of PS3 sales, they didn't sell out. The stores were keeping them in the back, waiting until the Thanksgiving weekend to sell them. And at numerous places, employess were taking them off the shelves and hiding them, because any unit not sold that day could be bought by them. I know the stores in my area are getting another shipment Tuesday. I'm still waiting until sometime next year. I'm getting a 360 for Christmas anyway, with Gears of War. :D
Ayingel 24 Posted November 27, 2006 yup, i knew that. walmart here got a secret shipment that some of the employees didn't even know about.
Uncle Du 22 Posted November 27, 2006 Nice. I want one so bad, but I promised Christina that I would wait until next year to get one. Damned if you women don't remember things for the longest time. :p

Uncle Du 22 Posted November 27, 2006 Normally I might be able to utilize such techniques, but now that she's pregnant again, I can't be pushing her down stairs and stuff. Such a pain. :D
