Ayingel 24 Posted December 30, 2006 The thing with Rocky Balboa is that it's average. Some parts were good, others could've been made bigger. They crammed too much into a short space of time. They also seemed to focus too hard ticking of Rocky themes on a big old checklist. i thought cliche...

Ayingel 24 Posted January 21, 2007 (edited) Dream Girls grade: A i went into this movie with high hopes (but also not knowing what they won at the golden globes) and came out with them just as high. The reviews for this movie are correct, it is a great movie. it felt a little long to sit through (two hours) but it was well worth it. the music was amazing, and it definately falls in the category of musical or opera. Andy 60 Posted February 5, 2007 Got the "New Beginnings" Doctor Who boxset the other day. Has the three serials: "The Keeper of Traken", staring Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor, in which the Doctor's arch enemy the Master returns nearing the end of his final regeneration, and aims to steal the Doctor's body to keep himself alive for longer. Twas pretty good. "Logopolis", the next story along and the final adventure for Tom Baker, where the Doctor is attempting to fix the chameleon circuits of the TARDIS (so it's not stuck as a 1960s police box), but again meets the Master and has to join forces with him to save the universe from the Master's own backfired plan of domination. I thought it was pretty awesome again, and of course ends with the death of the fourth Doctor. Then "Castrovalva", where Peter Davison has his introduction as the Fifth Doctor. In this story, the Doctor's regeneration is failing and his companions have to get him to safety. But it later turns out to be a trap created by the Master in order to destroy the Doctor once and for all... But obviously they escape. tis all pretty good.
