Neil1 0 Posted November 27, 2006 Sony completely messed up with the marketing of the console. There's no debating that the technology used in it is second to none, but they just don't have a good enough game line-up to compete with the 360 at the time. Give it a year, and everything will be evened out again. Sony and Microsoft both claiming superiority with identical sales numbers. I'll have both of em by then any way. Don't be silly. By the time the European launch kicks off Sony's arsenal will be complemented with MGS, Assassins Creed, UT 07, DMC, Tekken 6 and VF 5. That's a pretty impressive lineup compared to the 360s. Chickenman 9 Posted November 27, 2006 Normally I might be able to utilize such techniques, but now that she's pregnant again, I can't be pushing her down stairs and stuff. Such a pain. So wait until after the birth, then push her down the stairs. You still get it 3 months earlier than normal. The console. Not the baby. :shifty:

Each side is going to have console specific games that are freakin awesome. I am a Sony guy through and through, but I can recognize that while the PS3 is the most advanced piece of hardware out there, Sony jumped too soon at getting it on the market. Just look at the low release numbers. Problems with hardware manufacturing and with the difficulty in producing the cell processor pushed the date back on more than one occasion. But will it still be better? You bet. It just has more capability than the 360. Programmers can do so much more, and can make their games better and longer with Blu-Ray. But if I wait till after the birth, I won't be able to get it until August of next year. I can get it in April either way. :) Edited November 27, 2006 by Du(SW)

I don't think Sony had much of a choice. They can't give the 360 a Christmas sales period without offering an alternative. Sony know that the only thing that truely deciding factor between the XBOX and the PS2 was that the PS2 went largely unchallenged and thus dominated the market. Plus most of the problems you've mentioned were also piping up when the 360 was launched. Poor cooling system, poor games. I'll agree with you on the marketing point. Both MS and Sony haven't been great. In comparison the WIIs been fantastic, but then Nintendo always are.
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted November 27, 2006 and the duck hunt gun. hehe, Duck Hunt. i have that on my calculator. i love that game!
Andy 60 Posted November 28, 2006 In comparison the WIIs been fantastic, but then Nintendo always are. By rights, Nintendo should be. They've been in the game (excuse the pun) for so long, that you'd expect them to get their marketing right first time.
Brumak 2 Posted November 29, 2006 (edited) Double review... Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence Grade - A Even if you aren't a fan of the GitS series....if you like anime you should watch this movie. It's been out for a while....and, well...so has GitS....but anyways it's great. I'm pretty sure it's based on events after Stand Alone Complex Second Gig....but I've never seen the end of Second Gig...so I could be mistaken. The plot is incredible (for those that like Ghost that's no surprise), animation and CG are incredible....and it's also a good brain teaser. And.... Rainbow Six: Vegas I decided to review this since I finally beat it A+(+?) EXCELLENT game. The very best in the RS series....and not just because of graphics. Yes, graphics are one reason why this game kicks ass....but there's so much more. The accuracy of weapon design, recoil, optional attachments, and effect they have on the environment is awesome. Plus...the tactics you can use rock. Though maybe not as good as some of the other Rainbow Six's, Vegas focus's more on small unit tactics...which is basically how Rainbow Six should operate. It's a three-man squad throughout (unless you're doing co-op...which it's just you and your bud), and you have to utilize your infiltrate or attack modes along with good weapon setup before each mission (which, if you've played a Rainbow Six game....you should already know). The plot is relatively decent....but my favorite part about the game is running through the Vegas scene with plenty of violence. The realism of it is great as well... Say you're on the main floor of a casino and someone or some random few someones start shooting guns or throwing frags....You'd most likely expect smoke, dust, debris, and casino chips to go flying. Well....that happens. And it's sweet when you shoot a single slot machine....tokens fly out like mad. Imagine a frag or incendiary grenade hitting mulitple sections of slots By the gods get this game. And get it quick. It...kicks...ASS!!!! Edited November 29, 2006 by V!? Uncle Du 22 Posted November 29, 2006 Incubus - Light Grenades Grade: A Really great album, these guys never cease to amaze with the depth they have as artists. Not being a musician, I can't be all technical about it ( ). Mike Einziger always comes up with new and inventive ways to impress on guitar and Brandon Boyd, well, he just keeps coming up with new ways to utilize the vocal range that he's capable of. The only reason that I didn't give this an A++ was cause there wasn't enough heavy stuff on this album. I love the hard core songs that these guys do, and was hoping for some more, but Anna Molly is about as heavy as it gets. But, that's just my opinion. Definitely a must buy...if you like Incubus. So get it!!

Drake 53 Posted December 1, 2006 Speaking of Mario, something quite amusing happened at a party I went to last night. One of the guys there was quite drunk and said, "I'm Mario and there's a mushroom in that block!" He then proceeded to run down the hall and jump, punching his fist into the ceiling tile and knocking it down.
