A pair of Star Wars fans from the UK have sent a model X-wing into space, in the hopes of securing tickets to the premiere of The Force Awakens.
The duo are an Essex group that use weather balloons to take photographs of the Earth from space, and to get the production teams attention they attached a model X-wing to one of their balloons and send it to the edge of space at a cost of around £1,200. They recorded the video and tweeted director JJ Abrams their plea for tickets.
