No, 2016.  You are NOT allowed to take anyone else.  Nor you, 2017.

Well, she has the biggest fanbase in the world praying for her. :)

I will not allow a CGI Leia in Episode 9.

I know right, it's a real shocker. Right before Christmas as well, I really feel bad for her family. :(

I'm seeing that she's in stable condition now.

And now I see her mother, Debbie Reynolds, has been rushed to the hospital. :(

I know, it's awful. I really feel for the family, especially with all this happening at this time of year.

Uncle Du

I would hope they do.

I liked how they gave a nod to Leonard Nimoy in the newest Star Trek.  Simple, and revering.  Got me a little misty.  Carrie deserves the same.

Exactly.

Though reportedly she was to have a bigger role in 9, so a lot of tweaking may be needed to the script. Probably give her lines/scenes to another character.

I saw a comment somewhere from someone that they could just make her a Force ghost... but that would necessitate the CGI they just shot down, lol.

(Doesn't mean they can't use her voice, though, like they did with Alec Guinness in Ep 7).

    • Billie Lourd confirms she isn't young Leia

Carrie Fisher's daughter has killed the The Force Awakens rumor involving a flashback scene of Leia.
Billy Lourd has revealed during an interview with ET Online that her appearance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens is not as a young Princess Leia in a flashback scene as has been previously rumored, a news snippet that has since been repeated by Carrie Fisher herself.
During the interview, which was to promote new television show Scream Queens, Lourd stated that although the rumors were false she is still involved in the movie. This may mean that her appearance in The Force Awakens is a much more minor role than thought, as she declined to give further details on her character.

    • Carrie Fisher to be filming for six months

Carrie Fisher has again let slip that she will be involved in Star Wars Episode VII and will be filming in London for six months.Carrie Fisher has never been one to keep quiet, and despite a lack of official confirmation she has again been speaking about her role in Star Wars Episode VII.

/Film reported that the 57 year old actress, who played Princess Leia Organa in the classic Star Wars trilogy, has recently told Jim Jeffries of television show Legit that she will be in London for six months while filming for the latest Star Wars movie.

This, if accurate, seems to suggest that the role of the Big Three may be bigger than originally expected, and links in with talk that the script was rewritten to include more of the original cast before handing over to the new generation.
