I think that they were too awesome to exist. They just killed too well. Or maybe they didn't keep the craft and the second generation of non-Imperial ruled Noghri went to college and got liberal arts degrees. The next generation will simply birth hipster Noghri who will learn to craft simply to use it ironically.
