What kinda scotch is it? Never heard of it.

I'm not sure. I was at a friend's house, saw "Scotch," smelled it, drank it, and liked it, lol. I may be going out tonight to a liquor store and if I see it and it's not too, too expensive I'll buy it and let you know.

Cool. I tend to like the taste of the Highland scotches better.

So, my dad was starting to cook dinner tonight when my mom called and said that she had a totally flat tire in her car. She's been having lots of problems with her tires losing air with this car. My dad decided to go take care of it, so I went with them so that we could go out to eat after. Turns out that the valve stem broke off the rear tire. As dad was changing it he was grabbing the lug nuts off the back of his truck and I was reminded of the scene from The Christmas Story when Ralphie is helping change the flat tire.

No, I was sitting in the truck watching mom and dad change the tire. I'm still on restrictions from surgery

Man, I bought a bottle of Isle of Jara before, and yikes, never again. I swear, it tasted like the after taste of vomit. *shudders*

It's a Lowland Scotch, made in Leith, just north of Edinburgh. In fact, it at one time was a principality of the capital.

Interesting. I like trying new scotch. It's amazing how many different varieties there are. When I was at Sterling castle, there was a little scotch shop in there. Needless to say, it was very difficult for me not to go hog wild in there. :p

Different islands, my friend. Lagavulin, Laphroaig, and Bunnhabhain are all Islay. Very heavy peat and smoke, which is what I like.

Come now, how does having a different pallet relate to sissiness at all? :p

It isn't strong enough to handle the peatsmoke, and thus is a pathetic weakling. So there. :p

Logan's Roadhouse is so awesome.

We went there Saturday to take my grandma out for her birthday (she turned 87 this past Thursday), and we got our meal entirely free!

Apparently they time how long it takes the kitchen, and the manager felt it took a little too long to get our food on the table, so they took care of the tab. And we never even complained. The wait actually seemed short to me.

Two thumbs up for them.
