Drake 53 Posted March 30, 2010 *barges in* Hey folks! In case anyone was wondering where I've been for the past few weeks, I was in Cambodia! For those who don't know where that is, Cambodia is in South-East Asia, nestled snugly between Vietnam and Thailand. It was dang hot there, averaging around 35-40 degrees with humidity on top of that. I stocked up on new clothes since they manufacture designer labels over there. New shirts for 2 bucks? Deal! Ender 8 Posted March 31, 2010 I mean, if you've gotta work for the man, making SR-71s is a pretty good way. They don't actually make Blackbirds any more.... *sigh* I know... Uncle Du 22 Posted April 1, 2010 With the poor grammar and everything? I admit, with my putting the "hey" on the front, it didn't really work, but come on. *sigh* I know... America's cutting back on all the cool sith that made us awesome back in the day. But, for everything that you know about, there's 10 wicked cool things that you don't know about. ;)
James the Defender 7 Posted April 1, 2010 With the poor grammar and everything? I admit, with my putting the "hey" on the front, it didn't really work, but come on. It's not the 'hey' that disturbs me, . It's the preposition that ends the motto. It should read: "We never forget for whom we're working!" (Anyone, if I'm getting my 'who' and 'whom' mixed up there, please correct me and I shall humble myself in front of the new grammar master.)
Uncle Du 22 Posted April 1, 2010 Well, I used to be all about grammar, but since the internet has taken hold, I could really care less. And, that really is the motto, and I would think that they may have made grammatically incorrect to be more "hip". :p
James the Defender 7 Posted April 1, 2010 Ah. That is a good point. I agree, :p
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted April 1, 2010 Well, I used to be all about grammar, but since the internet has taken hold, I could really care less. Couldn't care less. See, the way you said it indicates you have lots of caring and therefore could afford to have a little less caring. Couldn't care less indicates you have no caring at all. Just sayin'. :p
Ender 8 Posted April 1, 2010 Actually, JM, contractions are not considered proper, so it would be could not. :p
Mara 29 Posted April 1, 2010 You know, I have a degree in English, and I don't care. Informal English ftw.
James the Defender 7 Posted April 2, 2010 Actually, JM, contractions are not considered proper, so it would be could not. Which is why I said, "That is a good point," instead of contracting it. :p
