Oh, I love Mythbusters and Dirty Jobs as well, when I can catch them.

Cash Cab is also entertaining.

I used to love Man vs Wild, but it's gotten kind of boring now.

Whaaaaat! The guy's name is BEAR. The show could be about arts and crafts and I would still love it.

BEAR.

ROAR.

BEAR GRYLLS

His name implies that he's a man who can eat nails and crap lightning.

Mike Rowe is absolutely hilarious and some kind of comic genius as he seems to come up with his lines on the fly, as he does the job, with no script.

Mythbusters could learn a thing or two from him. Their acting is atrocious.

"Hey Jamie, something just occurred to me...in the writer's room. Where we worked all of the math and such before the episode even began production. In fact, it didn't just occur to me so much as it's been in the script for weeks. What happens if we mix the baking soda and vinegar with nitroglycerine?"

"Well that's a good idea you just had there. Allow me to respond completely off the cuff but with all the scientific theory and math already worked out."

"Cool. Then we can blow things up?

"Hells yes."

Great show though. :D

Agreed!

My favourite part of Dirty Jobs would have to be when Mike is at a shingle lumber yard and he and the owner are working with a large bandsaw and the owner is warning Mike to back away if he hears a loud pop because that would mean that the saw blade has snapped and will be shooting out like a snake in a matter of seconds...

Mike: So basically this thing is spinning around here at roughly the speed of light. And then...

Owner: ...all hell breaks loose.

Mike: And by hell you mean my bowels.

And I love how Mike used to be an opera singer, too. But hated it and went into TV doing voiceovers. :p

Ahhh... Haven't seen it in a while. Must watch reruns on Saturdays.

Oh, no, it's still awesome, but I think it lost a little luster after they were sued or something and had to add that disclaimer. I feel like the aura of the show has changed.

And, I know why his name is Bear. :p

His real name is Edward, I think. They called him Ted, which evolved to Teddy. So Teddy Bear.

Not so scary any more, is he? : p

Teddy Roosevelt was more terrifying than any wild creature.

Teddy is a name that lulls morons into a false sense of security.

And then they die.

Right, because that is the whole purpose of Bear's show.

Teaching how to kill people, instead of how to survive?

OK, if no one has seen this, Will Ferrell is going to be on an episode of Man vs. Wild tonight, and has been appropriately named "Men vs. Wild". It looks hilarious!

BTW, it's on tonight at 10 EST.

Heck yeah. I saw it listed in the TV book on Sunday.

I'll have to catch a rerun though. Forgot to record it. :(

I know it was on last night.

I forgot to record it last night. :p

I did catch the last 5 minutes though, when I got home last night. Even those 5 minutes were awesome, haha.

But I'll have to catch a rerun later.

I also forgot about that animal special that was on last weekend... done by the same guys who did the Planet Earth miniseries.

But since it's the Discovery Channel.. pretty sure they'll repeat it. Over and over. :p

Yea, there's really only so much you can show on that channel, prolly why there's a Dirty Jobs or Mythbusters marathon once a month. :p
