You have to realize that Baseball has a small following... because only America and Japan care for it while the other parts of the former British Empire love Cricket to death... to the point that they'll go "football" fan about it (football being the sport played in the rest of the world, not american football).

Probably the influence we used to have in the region with trade and all. Cuba, who we were huge friends with way back when probably love it more than anyone. Dominican Republic too.

Hence why all of our best baseball players are really the Dominican Republic's best players.

And just looked it up, Baseball is the 7th most popular sport in the world.

I have too much time on my hands.
