Andy 60 Posted August 29, 2008 (edited) The hugest house spider I have seen for as long as I can remember is currently living in my bath. It's not so much a 'huge house spider' as it is a horrifying terror-beast from hell. I trapped it under a tub so it can't escape until I figure out what to do with it... It appears my sister was so worried about it escaping she has put a tin of paint on top of the tub... lol It's massive for British house spider. Bad furday 57 Posted August 29, 2008 Find a box with a lid B, and turn it upside down and trap the spider in it. Slide a piece of paper under the box, flip it over, and slam the lid on. After a few weeks or so, the spider will suffocate and you can take close up photos of this fine specimen A clear airtight container works best ;)
Andy 60 Posted August 29, 2008 A piece of paper? It'd burn right through it with it's evil glaring eyes.

Andy 60 Posted August 29, 2008 (edited) funnily enough my computer isn't in my bathroom. Anyhow... I'm off to attempt to drown it lol Edit: UPDATE It has gone... I felt sorry for it and scooped it up in a container, slammed a lid, and ran halfway down the road to release it, then ran away before it could follow me. lol Edited August 29, 2008 by Andy

Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted August 30, 2008 urg. i think i'm sick. problem is, i don't know with what. i'm definitely running a fever, although i have no clue how high since we don't own a thermometer, i've got chills and achy joints. although the achy joints could be caused by hauling boxes last night. my throat's really dry, but if i try to down a glass of water, it makes me nauseous. sipping seems to work though. and it really sucks cuz the little sis is in from college this weekend and i really want to hang out with her.
Jake Durron 23 Posted August 30, 2008 Ok, try some medium warm tea, preferably herbal and take a steamy shower... take a tylenol cause it won't make you nasious like Ibprofen for the fever and get into something really warm... like full sleve pajamas... don't take them off even if you're seriously hot and sweating for at least two hours, you'll be sweating out your fever so just live with it. if you have some of these herbs or extracts boil them in water for 30 minutes: Peppermint, Bergamot, Dandelion, Lavender, and Lemon Seriously, I know I sound crazy but this stuff really helps, these herbs in particular are for muscle aches, relaxation, nausea, and fever. Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted August 30, 2008 steamy shower sounds nice. unfortunately we don't have any of that other stuff around. i've got a glass of water i'm sipping at in a seemingly vain attempt to not dehydrate.
Jake Durron 23 Posted August 30, 2008 do you have earl grey tea? It has bergamot in it and that will at least get rid of the nausea and fever.
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted August 30, 2008 acetominophen and Sprite seem to have done the trick. poor Rob ran to Walgreens at 5:30 this morning to get it for me.
