Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted May 9, 2008 as long as they cite their sources, it's all good. although i probably still wouldn't use Wikipedia for a school paper, but i might check out the sources at the bottom of the article.
Mara 29 Posted May 9, 2008 Then why not go directly to the official sources? :p
Drake 53 Posted May 9, 2008 Umm...because wikipedia will group them all up in one nice and handy place instead of you having to sift through google?

Andy 60 Posted May 12, 2008 Yeah, and that means there are lots of people there to make sure that inaccuracies are removed. Plus: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4530930.stm

Princess 35 Posted May 13, 2008 Most common for all humans or just in the United States? All humans, however it can vary with region. I think it's something around 45% and 40% for the two blood types. For example, there's a region in Bombay that has what's called the Bombay Phenotype and those people can't even take type O blood, they have to have blood of the Bombay Phenotype it's like little o or something like that I've read (on the incredibly reliable Wikipedia!) that there are actually several different identifying factors for blood beyond Rh factor and the blood blood cell thing. Let's see, just the common ones D, C, c, E, e, f, V, Cw, K, k, Jsa, Jsb, Fya, Fyb, Jka, Jkb, M, N, S, s, Xga, Lea, Leb, P1, Lua, Lub and many more
Andy 60 Posted May 13, 2008 *takes a sip of his drink* Wow. Unknown, why did you have to start this incredibly boring conversation? ;)
Drake 53 Posted May 13, 2008 (edited) Seriously. Shouldn't there be some other thread for boring medical stuff like that? Y'know...some place that we can all ignore. :p Edited May 13, 2008 by Drake

Pandora 77 Posted May 13, 2008 *takes a sip of his drink* Wow. Unknown, why did you have to start this incredibly boring conversation? *nods in agreement and offers Andy a refill* Yeah, I told my advisor at the college while we were picking my science courses, and I quote: "Yeah, let's go with something with 'introduction' in the title." Those are aren't geeks are obviously moles and shall be sent to the Island of Agony (or whatever the hell Pod's calling it now). That's what I'm calling it. I think.... It sinks so far down the page I can never find it! Can we let the torture be mainstream again? The screams used to echo all through the boards....
Jake Durron 23 Posted May 14, 2008 Yeah, now the only one we ever hear screaming is winters..
