Drake 53 Posted October 3, 2007 I don't think that article you linked to has anything to do with healthcare, nor does it mention Bush. But, judging from the name of it, I would say that he's trying to do as much damage as he can before he's finally done.

Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted October 3, 2007 i can see both sides of this. yes, it would be wonderful to be able to get healthcare for poorer kids (heck, all kids), but i can also see this getting abused. i can see why he would advocate private insurance over government controlled healthcare, but if that's the route he wants to take, there needs to be some way to make private insurance more affordable (maybe better eduacation/job training to get better paying jobs and afford insurance). not to mention more patient friendly with insurance paying for a bigger chunk of expensive procedures. but then, maybe i'm just wishing. TheUnknown 39 Posted October 5, 2007 Regarding JM's post: The gun part is ridiculous (I like the kid's response about the plasma rifle). However, I do think there is some merit in making sure kids aren't exposed directly or indirectly to sexual abuse, drug use, and violence. The flip side is it may make parents more reluctant to send their children to doctors if they're fearful the doctor might mis-interpret something. Plus, it seems likely that the parents who are sending their kids to the doctor for regular checkups are not abusing their kids physically or sexually or neglecting them. Mara 29 Posted October 9, 2007 (edited) And I got my M4 Carbine Rifle (My Gun) and it has all kinds of gadgets on it. Its has optics and lasers like in the Movie "Star Wars". Some days it is very dusty here so I have to keep my weapon clean. During my travels I meet Yoda and he gave me and a little Ewok a class on how to be a Jedi. Haha. Ender 8 Posted October 31, 2007 Are you ewoking sithting me, Unknown? You know I'm not exactly GW's biggest fan, but he's definitely not the worst president we ever had. What about Franklin Pierce? James Buchanan? Grant? Garfield? Pretty much every president to come out of Ohio? Hoover? Bush is not the worst.
