Princess 35 Posted November 16, 2007 Well, this just sucks 4 transplant recipients get HIV from donor organs But why did they take organs from someone who was at high risk for both HCV and HIV

Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted November 16, 2007 but can you tell if it's infection of the donor or contamination after the fact? i know the HIV virus doesn't live long outside the body, but you have to transplant those organs soon. the hep viruses are a little more hardy (ok, a lot more hardy. HBV can survive up to 7 days in dried blood), so that could be possible. i dunno. i'm rambling.

My question is: how is naming a teddy bear "Mohammed" blasphemous but naming people after him not?

Andy 60 Posted December 3, 2007 http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/africa/11/27...ears/index.html My God, some people are so stupid. And I'm not talking about the teacher. My question is: how is naming a teddy bear "Mohammed" blasphemous but naming people after him not? Yeah that's been all over the news here last week. She got sent to prison, but has been released now. She'll have to leave her job and come back to the UK though, since she received a whole bunch of death threats. Silly thing is it wasn't even her who named the bear - it was apparently one of the kids who suggested they name it after himself.
TheUnknown 39 Posted December 3, 2007 I still don't see how a teddy bear is blasphemous. Now, if South Park had a character called Mohammed the Ramadan Poo, I might understand, but not for a teddy bear.
