Andy 60 Posted March 17, 2005 they should ban lawsuits. lol especially these stupid "no win, no fee" claim peoples. just imagine how many millions of pounds/dollars are spent on fines and lawsuits when they could be better spent on the services, benefiting everyone, and stoppign these things happening in the first place. some people need to figure out that accidents do happen, no matter how hard you try to stop them. Tsl 7 Posted March 18, 2005 More randomocity! Dude finds homeless guy in his basement. Keep in mind that Oakwood is the town where all the stinking rich, snooty people live, hehe. I mean, a man can be arrested there for mowing the lawn without a shirt and if you own a pick-up truck, you're not allowed to park it on your driveway or on the street, lol. 5-year-old arrested for temper tantrum
GI_Admiral 2 Posted March 18, 2005 Meh, she got off easy Could have been charged with vandalism and then expelled for violence in school, hitting a teacher in anger, hitting an administator in anger... But seriously...she deserved it...gotta keep your emotions under control ((I know shes a baby but still))
Tsl 7 Posted March 18, 2005 lol! She didn't need arrested! She needed a spanking and a time out. She's 5 for goodness sake.
Drake 53 Posted March 18, 2005 She needs to be taught a lesson. I blame her parents. They don't spank her enough. Beat some sense into her...that's the way to go. :p
GI_Admiral 2 Posted March 19, 2005 I agree The arresting was overboard....lol
Tsl 7 Posted March 19, 2005 I asked my dad about it (he's a principal). He says they probably called the cops because she was so out of control and had a school official tried to restrain her, they could face crimminal charges from the parents and all that. But actually having her taken away in handcuffs? That was a bit much, lol. The cops could have just taken her into an office and held her until she calmed down. Bad furday 57 Posted March 19, 2005 I was spanked a lot as a child But then again....I find it hard to remember a time when I didn't get in trouble between Kindergarten and 3rd grade... :p
GI_Admiral 2 Posted March 19, 2005 Well acutally...with that explanation I could see why it was used. With American people these days, they'll do anything for money. Cop left a bruise trying to hold her down, BAM lawcase right there. Potential money, embarassment and maybe a loss of job.
Bad furday 57 Posted March 19, 2005 Yup, that's (unfortunately) the american way.... :p
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted March 19, 2005 yeah, heaven forbid a teacher or administrator try to maintain order in a school.
Princess 35 Posted March 19, 2005 Florida woman's feeding tube removed This entire case is a mess, but if it's what she wanted then it's what should be and not even the US Congress should try to interfere. She's in a permanent vegetative state and she won't be coming out of it, let her die in peace
Tsl 7 Posted March 19, 2005 It should really scare the living crap out of all Americans that the gov't is trying to get involved in this one. :nerves:

Alexander 0 Posted March 22, 2005 Florida woman's feeding tube removed This entire case is a mess, but if it's what she wanted then it's what should be and not even the US Congress should try to interfere. She's in a permanent vegetative state and she won't be coming out of it, let her die in peace Technically, let her body die in peace. Terri has been dead for a long time now. Considering she was bulimic (lead to the heart attack that then led to the state she is in today) it doesn't sound like she cared that much about her life before either. Princess 35 Posted March 22, 2005 Judge refuses to order feeding tube reinstated House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, a Texas Republican who pushed the law, said the judge's decision was "at odds with both the clear intent of Congress and the constitutional rights of a helpless young woman." Since when does the intent of Congress have anything to do with how a judge rules? These lawmakers really need to get their heads out of their asses
