Mara 29 Posted November 19, 2007 Why are your points so low? I got through level 6 with 172,215 points.
Drake 53 Posted November 19, 2007 They give you the point number, like yours, as well as a "Traveler IQ", which are the ones that we posted. I made it to level 10.
Mara 29 Posted November 19, 2007 (edited) Hmm. I didn't see the IQ one... But I think I'll give it another go, since at home I was using that silly wireless mouse that moves too quickly. Okay.. up to level 6 again.. IQ: 92 Edited November 19, 2007 by Mara
TheUnknown 39 Posted November 20, 2007 Retaken. Got to level 11 Total Score: 469,310 IQ:
Mara 29 Posted November 20, 2007 (edited) I think I got to level 7.... IQ: 101, I think. It'd probably be worse if I hadn't taken African geography my senior year. Once more, no thanks to wireless mouse: Level 10 IQ: 111 Points: 363, 286 Edited November 20, 2007 by Mara

Andy 60 Posted November 21, 2007 I did pretty awful I'm afraid to say. lol Score: 157, 495 Level: 6 IQ: 90 A few mistakes: I got Vietnam on the wrong side of the world. lol... Really now, what were you doing fighting a war all the way over there? I accidentally clicked my mouse in the middle of Europe while I was on my way to India to click. lol I kept getting the Japanese cities on the wrong ends of the island. I was pretty good with the US/Canada/Europe South America I was totally useless at (unsurprisingly seeing as I thought that's where Vietnam was... Erm.) Russia, and most of Asia was pretty hit or miss. Might retake it. In my defence it HAS been 11 years since I studied geography. :p
Andy 60 Posted November 21, 2007 Nope, I'm stopping. I'm obviously too tired when I get 1,500 km away from the Battle of Trafalgar... cos I know damned well where that was. lol
Drake 53 Posted November 21, 2007 Save it for later, Mr. Mapquest. :p
Mara 29 Posted November 21, 2007 Yeah, well, with some of the small countries, just getting it clicked somewhere in the country gets you some good accuracy points. They're just so small. It's funny when I click for a city, and get the complete wrong country and still have the thing tell me "good job!"
Mara 29 Posted November 21, 2007 IQ: 113... through level 10.
TheUnknown 39 Posted November 21, 2007 I wish the map were bigger.
Mara 29 Posted November 22, 2007 Yeah, some of the islands don't even show up. What's the closest you guys can remember getting to the real location? I think the closest I've been was about 20km away.
Andy 60 Posted November 25, 2007 (edited) I was 16km away from London. Don't know how far 16km is cos we don't use those silly European things here. lol I can't get past level 6. The main problem being South and Central America. A few Canadian and Russian cities get placed on the opposite side of the country... lol The thing that annoys me the most is when they put in questions that are more history than geography. like, I just got the Battle of Gettysburg about 2,000 km off... I've never even heard of Gettysburg, and I wouldn't expect any of you to be able to place English Civil War battles things like Edgehill on a map. lol And yeah it'd be helpful if the map was bigger... There's a whole bunch of European countries that you can't even see on that map. Plus the cursor is bigger than some of the countries so as soon as you mouseover where you want to click you can't see the country nevermind where you're clicking. :p Edited November 25, 2007 by Andy
Ayingel 24 Posted November 25, 2007 i've gotten within ten...but that was in ireland...where the furthest i've been is 50 :p
Mara 29 Posted November 26, 2007 Hah, true. I always get the silly Scadavinian countries mixed up... plus I'm a little weak in the Middle East/Eastern Europe.

Andy 60 Posted March 22, 2008 I still maintain that the map is waaay too small. lol, its like, less than a quarter of my screen... In better news, I just got 4km from New York! lol
Mara 29 Posted March 24, 2008 Yeah, it should be bigger, I agree. I would get massive points just for getting the right country/area for a city, for tiny countries.
CorSec 5 Posted April 18, 2008 (edited) First time IQ: 100 I am not letting this game defeat me. ewok! I did this 3 times and got 100 every time. The game is cheating. Edited April 18, 2008 by CorSec
