Mara 29 Posted July 21, 2007 They all have their pros and cons.. but in this case I think the cons of AOTC outweight the pros.
Andy 60 Posted July 26, 2007 Bah, who voted for TPM? Cowards haven't even posted... :p
Mara 29 Posted July 26, 2007 You can't see who voted for what with your admin powers?
Drake 53 Posted July 26, 2007 I voted for TPM. The boneheadedness of Jar Jar Binks and Jake Lloyd overpowered the amazing lightsaber fights and other coolish things.
Drake 53 Posted July 27, 2007 I'm in the majority! *countershuns*
Mara 29 Posted July 27, 2007 You and the nameless ones to embarrassed to admit their choice.
Drake 53 Posted July 27, 2007 Why would anyone be embarassed to dislike TPM? It's pretty much the most obvious choice.
Mara 29 Posted July 27, 2007 Well, they haven't revealed themselves, just the same. Though, I think all the cheesey romance plus whiny little Anakin boy trumps Jar Jar. Plus there were better battle and fights in TPM than in AOTC.
Drake 53 Posted July 27, 2007 Anakin angst was required to show his inner turmoil on his path to becoming a Sith. Having a creature as annoying as Jar Jar was pointless. The fights in AotC were slightly less cool than the Maul/Obi/Qui duel. Slightly.
Mara 29 Posted July 27, 2007 TPM was just all around more enjoyable, I think... no matter what was in it or not... I just had a better time watching it. I think it had more exciting scenes. AOTC just had some boring parts.. and it seemed almost like a forced filler between Ep I and III.
Andy 60 Posted July 27, 2007 Just think, if I hadn't liked TPM, you wouldn't be here posting on this site. :p
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted July 27, 2007 you're entitled to your opinion. even if it's wrong. :p
Drake 53 Posted July 27, 2007 Ah, now it is two-on-two. My companions are slowly revealing themselves. Bwahahaha!
RAIN 0 Posted July 28, 2007 3 on 2 actually AOTC was abit boring al dat romantic stuff and i hate anakin in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mara 29 Posted July 28, 2007 I like this new member already!
Chickenman 9 Posted August 21, 2007 TPM is a kiddie story, whereas the plot of AOTC has political intrigue, war, mystery, angst, etc. It's much more grown up. And the Battle of Geonosis is one of the best sequences in both trilogies.
Rogue 4 Posted August 21, 2007 I voted for TPM I understand that Lucas needed to make someone so INCREDIBLY stupid that they would vote emergency powers to Palpatine, but damn....he could have made them have a mentality greater than an 8 year old! And I'm sorry, he DID screw up all the good battle scenes. One second you're watching Obi Wan and Maul, the next second he's jugging water---kinda ruined it for me. Mara 29 Posted August 21, 2007 But the battle on Geonosis was so short and boring, just like the battle of Hoth. The battle of Naboo/Duel of the Fates was almost just as exciting, for me, as the battle of Endor/Luke vs Vader.
Andy 60 Posted August 21, 2007 Urgh, sacrilege... TPM is so under-rated. :p
Drake 53 Posted August 22, 2007 Well it looks like it's being rated as twice as worse as AotC, to me.
Rogue 4 Posted August 22, 2007 No worries D! You've got the stouborn opinionated Rogue in your corner ;)
