Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted September 17, 2007 grah! wedding plans are a pain. Rob wants to have the wedding one day and the reception the next day, but i just want to get it all done at once. he thinks we'll be running around too much if we do it all in one day. i'm not really seeing how spreading it out is going to help anything except spread the stress out more. i don't wanna fight him about it, but i really don't want to do it that way. >.<
Princess 35 Posted September 17, 2007 Do it the same day, with the reception immediately following, so that way you can do a late afternoon wedding
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted September 17, 2007 i was thinking a 10am wedding and then the reception around 6pm so there will be plenty of time to get pictures and lunch. but he's dead set on doing it over 2 days. *sigh*
Princess 35 Posted September 17, 2007 I have never heard of it set over 2 days. And just remind him that then you have to get dressed up twice, get your hair done twice, hire a photographer for 2 days instead of 1.
Ayingel 24 Posted September 17, 2007 well, depends on how you mean...my cousin's wedding was technically three days... day 1. everyone arrives, rehearsal dinner barbeque at the park day 2. pictures, wedding, reception, dance day 3. dance finishes, gift opening (all invited if they want), eat left-overs, then go home (that is, those of the guests who aren't too hungover...) Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted September 17, 2007 he was wanting to get married one day, enjoy a quiet dinner with the family and such. and then do the reception/photos and all that the next day. but he called last night and we chatted about a few things, and we're gonna do it all in one day. tentitively, we're looking at January 5th. Bad furday 57 Posted September 17, 2007 Thanks all, glad you liked PW! Could you imagine me writing a PW when drunk? :p
Andy 60 Posted September 17, 2007 Just buy stronger alcohol then. I usually drink whisky and vodka containing drinks when I'm out... Not exactly light on the alcohol content! :p
Ana 15 Posted September 17, 2007 Do yourself a favor. Buy a bottle of tequila and drink it straight. 'Containing drinks' are going to take longer and be more expensive. :p

Ender 8 Posted September 18, 2007 Tequila's not bad, but I generally just stick to Scotch. It's good for you.
Drake 53 Posted September 18, 2007 it has a dead worm in the bottom. that's just yucky. Oh JM. So innocent and ignorant. You don't have to put a worm in tequila. :p
CorSec 5 Posted September 18, 2007 Tequila's not bad, but I generally just stick to Scotch. It's good for you. Explain! That burning doesn't feel good to me at all! :p
Andy 60 Posted September 19, 2007 Do yourself a favor. Buy a bottle of tequila and drink it straight. 'Containing drinks' are going to take longer and be more expensive. I'm pretty sure they don't sell full bottles to people in pubs :p
Drake 53 Posted September 19, 2007 Back up a tick...are you telling me that you do ALL of your drinking at the pub!? Well that's why you can't afford it! Go to a liquor store, buy yourself some booze, then pre-drink BEFORE going to the pub for a couple pints. That way, you get drunk and spend less money doing it. Mara 29 Posted September 19, 2007 Or just go back home and drink alone in your room.
