Pandora 77 Posted August 1, 2007 Okay, Pod. I looked at Vanderbilt (as well as Ohio State-which looked pretty good-and Wiconsin at Madison-which also looked good) Nice and expensive, huh? But it and Emory are like the Southern equivilant of Harvard and Yale.
TheUnknown 39 Posted August 1, 2007 I couldn't get a lot of information from their website on course offerings, etc. Plus, it's in Nashville. There is no way I would live in the capital of that talentless cesspool of American culture called country music.

Drake 53 Posted August 1, 2007 Yeah, country music makes me die a little inside. Almost as bad as emo. Actually...nothing can be "almost" as bad as emo since emo is in a league of its own for being terrible. I don't even consider it music. It's a slight against God. The moral of this post is...the Earth must be purified of emos and country music blows.
Mara 29 Posted August 1, 2007 Some of the old school country is a bit boring.. But I enjoy the new stuff.

TheUnknown 39 Posted August 1, 2007 I personally feel that the nineties was a pinnacle of music. Rock, country, and rap all said something. Now, rock is filled with whiney, bland acts. Country is full of jingoism, and forced emotion. And rap is full of misogynistic, violent materialism.
Mara 29 Posted August 1, 2007 I agree about the rap.
Uncle Du 22 Posted August 2, 2007 You guys don't even like Johnny Cash? I mean, I don't like country at all, but Cash was the man. And right on with rap. People wonder why there are so many problems, its cause everyone just wants money to buy sith that's gonna be worthless eventually any way.
Mara 29 Posted August 2, 2007 I know, half the time rap sounds like another language anyway. I can't understand it.
Uncle Du 22 Posted August 2, 2007 I don't try. I'll stick with good ol 90's rock...and the 80's, they were mostly good too.

You had The Smiths, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Stone Roses... and that was about it as far as good music went in the 80s.
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted August 2, 2007 99 Luftballons came out in the 80s. that one's pretty good.
