Mara 29 Posted March 28, 2005 Well, I'm trying to everything I can. I talked to another computer friend and he said to try to free up my C drive as much as possible and put everything on my D drive. I'm sick of restarting my computer every morning after it freezes during the night and puts up a blue screen saying "Warning, your system memory is too low for your AntiVirus Autoprotect to funcion." Tsl 7 Posted March 28, 2005 (edited) Why would moving everything from C to D help exactly? It's all the same hard drive And spyware scanners are lovely, but they miss alot. I'd suggest opening task manager and googling everything in the running processes list to see if you really need it or not or if there's anything malicious in there. Then go disable all the processes that are eating memory and disk space for no good reason. EDIT: There are also lots of viruses that target virus scanners. And I do have another computer geek friend who's helping me.....and basically, I've done all I can. I dunno, he said to move it. Mara 29 Posted April 3, 2005 Indeed..... Macs suck. One another note, my computer hasn't had to be restarted in 2-3 days now. I dunno what happened, but it seems to be cooperating now. Ever since I woke up to it telling me to reinstall Norton because my options were damaged or missing or something.....then I shut it off and turned it back on, got out my disk.
