i was coming down the stairs, my hands were a little full so the laptop was still open, i miss judged the corner bcause my dog was going up the stairs, and WHAM! laptop met eye. at least it isn't black, and i was aleady planning to see the eye doctor today anyway.

Damn the financial aid office! I had to turn in some forms. I did a couple of weeks ago. They said I should know something in a week or two. It's been at least three and I still know nothing. Classes start Monday and I'm getting nervous.

Edit: I forgot to add that I e-mailed the financial aid counselor asking, in summary, what the ewok is going on? I still haven't heard anything.

financial aid sucks. in fact, college in general sucks. i went to go get books and pay tuition yesterday and the day before tuition is due, they've got 4 cashiers working and taking 10-15 minutes per person. it does NOT need to take that long. either you've got the financial aid, a credit card, or you don't. idiots.

and i found out James is leaving for school tomorrow, which has me kinda bummed, i'm still trying to figure out a way to get to this extra class i want to take (which started yesterday), and my efforts to find another guy to hang out with are getting me nowhere. *bangs head on desk repeatedly*

...one of my ewoking temp caps fell out and the dentist won't fix it until thursday...so i have two very uncomfortable spots in my mouth and i've been threatening not to eat until they're fixed on thursday afternoon

I hate working in bloodbank! We're totally short staffed right now and we were pretty busy in the lab tonight. I was working alone in bloodbank, but techs in other departments are supposed to help when you start having problems keeping up with stats. The day started out slow but then I just started getting Stat after stat after stat as well as routine type and screens (which can be batched with stats) and ASAP blood orders. So at one point I've had a blood order sitting on my counter for almost 2 hours and I haven't been able to touch it because ER has kept me so busy. I ask a coworker for help and they don't come in and help me. Finally I catch up on all the stats and blood orders and i'm starting to feel shaky and light headed, it's 2030 and I haven't been to eat yet and I'm starving. So I give the phone to the person that's supposed to cover for me and tell him that I'm going to eat before I pass out. We need more staff!!!

yes, next time drag them in and tie them to the chair so you can go eat. or keep some granola bars in your pocket. my dad's having the same problem because he works 3 12-hr shifts in a row and barely has time to eat anything until he gets home. granola bars are your friends. ;)

I wish I could strangle the sith out of whoever's spreading the rumor around.. Oddly enough, the cops haven't even approached us yet about the supposed cat killing, I don't get that.

Yeah I've been accused of arson, I was even asked to turn out my pockets, of course it did turn out quite humurously.

poor cops get a lot of grief for trying to do their jobs. there are the overzelous types, though. but if they get a call about something like that, they have to go check it out. and if it turns out not to be true, they can arrest the other guy for filing a false report. :D

The Financial Aid Sage Continues!!

Okay, I still haven't heard anything back from my email. Now, my student account is saying they're waiting on a corrected Student Aid Report from the U.S. Department of Education. Apparently, my Financial Aid Administrator felt the need to correct it (I guess because I hadn't turned in my tax return when I turned in my FAFSA. That tells me they have looked at my other forms, but they're still not giving my anything yet. They least they could do is go ahead and give me my HOPE Scholarship, which is merit-based, not need based and comes from the State of Georgia, not the federal government, while they wait to know if I qualify for the Pell Grant and student loans; I won't receive them until later in the month anyways. I swear, if those ewoktards dicked around so long that I don't receive my sholarship in time to buy my books before classes start Monday, I'm gonna be mightily pissed.

But, noticing Rogue's sig, at least Jedi Punks is editted! :p

so, my "check engine" light comes on this morning for the thrid frikin time this month! i swear, i just had it in the shop on Friday for the exact same thing! so i decide to go on and bring it home so it can go in the shop while i'm at school. if it's gonna sit somewhere all day, it might as well get fixed since i'm driving out to the lake tomorrow for a canoe trip with Mike and i have a full schedule today. that means my parents have to drop me off at school. annoying since today's my heavy day and i can't put my books back in the car, but no biggie. my mother so courtiously reminds me that every mile i put on my car is one mile closer to it dying. yeah. i know that. so now, outside of work, school, and dance, i have to "talk to them" about where i'm going and basically get their permission to have a social life. i'm sorry it's always my car that has to get fixed all the time, but i always get it after everyone else has abused it. not my fault i always get the hand-me-downs with one wheel in the grave so to speak. i would buy my own car, but i can't afford to right now. when i do get enough money to buy a half-way decent car, heck yeah i will. i thought the whole purpose of me getting a job so i could pay for my own gas was to take just one more step toward becoming independent. it seems like a few steps backwards if i have to ask for permission every time i want to do something. i can understand their side that they don't want me to kill a car with my dad just getting out of school and we can't afford to get a new one. but still. i should think i'm old enough to not have to ask permission to drive. i still let my parents know when i'm going out; most nights i am in by curfew, and if i'm late, i call. i pay for my own gas, i'm willing to chip in what i can for repairs. i feel they could show me some consideration and allow me some independence.

:wail: my hip hurts so bad... i got 8 shots in my hip today... they tried to numb it to see if i had nerve damage... apparently i do and it hurts worse than anything i've ever felt in my entire life... i'm hoping to god they don't go to the other alternative, but seeing as i can't tolerate 8 round of shots every three days or so...
