invest in something nice...steelseries makes some decent headsets...pretty noise-canceling, and good for gaming...if you plan on doing any of that...i've had my current pair for almost two years

Nah, I use them for work.

I think part of the problem is I bought a couple pairs that are meant for music listening, and I need something more generic/computer-useful. Probably will have to switch to an out-of-the-ear kind so I don't get all this white noise. It's always there, but at least right now (with my pair from home) it's not so loud as it was with my new pairs. Stupid things. Waste of $20.

So my lappy has finally crapped out. The keyboard and mouse aren't responding, so we think it's the processor. Hopefully we can finally close on our house refinance Monday and have enough money left over for a new lappy. A better lappy. One with a number pad and won't blink out every time we press "T" or "W". Rawr!

Well, two strikes and I'm out of this ewokin' relationship thing. Happy be the day I meet someone that wants me for me, flaws and all. Yea, I'm an angry dude, and I have to do things my way, but ewok man, if I love you, I'll give you anything you want as long as I'm providing the way that I want. In a way that I'm good at. Jesus, 40K a year jobs don't just fall in your lap, it means that you're actually GOOD at something. :mad:

wanna know why i'm still awake? victor (one of my roommates) hasn't been closing the door to the garage all the way when he goes in and out. willow (my cat) thought this would be an ample opportunity to explore, and she ends up outside. where its wet. she doesn't like wet grass and she then thought it would be a good idea to climb into the backyard neighbor's tree (good thing it wasn't the nextdoor neighbor's tree because they have two dogs and i don't forsee that ending well). she was about...ten to fifteen yards up. we tried everything to get her down...treats...flashlight...victor climbing up into the tree...so, robert and jimmy (another roommate) come up with the idea to get some rope, a weight and a box to put some treats in to get baby girl (other name for willow) out of the tree. after 45 minutes of tossing the weighted rope into the tree, they finally got it over the right branch and got the weight all the way down. just as robert was putting the finishing touches on the box system and i had just thrown some treats in, willow decided that she was finally ready to climb down. so she did. and robert got her the last three yards and gave her to me and now she's taken a bath (with cloths) and is being slightly punished. and i'm wide awake -_- and have to be at the school at 2 pm to take my students to subsections. and i need to take a shower. and go to the gym. and try to do homework. and i won't be home until 11pm-ish. fml.

I've been volunteering at our humane society's spay/neuter clinic. It's a great place where the surgery is MUCH cheaper than at the vet's office. In fact, I got Ziggy spayed, microchiped, and an extra dose of pain meds for the low cost of $72. Awesome. Most of the dogs and cats they get are from owners like me taking advantage of lower prices and other humane societies in the area. They also have a feral cat program. Most of the owned pets--and even animals coming from other shelter--are well cared for. However, there is occasionally an owner we'd all like to smack upside the head. Today two dogs came in COVERED with ticks. Have you ever seen a bloated, fat, happy tick? They were EVERYWHERE on these poor dogs. The vet tech pulled off as many as they could find before surgery and I pulled more than a few while I had them in recovery. Now, I expect that dogs who spend any time outside will occasionally come in with a tick. The little buggers are everywhere. But this was insane. Apparently, these two are outside dogs. My dogs are outside dogs as well, but I've never found a tick on either of them. Know why? Because I shell out for tick prevention meds (K9 Advantix FTW) and I check my dogs now and then to make sure they don't have any hitchikers. I just hope the poor things aren't anemic and/or pick up some kind of disease from the ticks. :(

There are ladybugs inside our house. More than we've ever had. They don't bother me at all...but it's inconvenient - ie: A few nights ago I was colouring an artwork...and a ladybug

flew over and hit me in the face. :p
