I don't mind those. It's the damn squeezing the nurse does to get the blood out!

It was for my last annual, because my mom's had some new health problems develop. She filled up this little vial but she squeezed so damn hard I thought for sure my finger would explode.

They do because there's more nerve endings in the fingers than anywhere else where they draw blood.

And JM, it could very well be that your veins are the same size or almost the same size of the needle. There's nothing friendly about the 18 gauge needle that they take donations with

yeah, 18-gauge is a big needle. especially when you're used to working with 22s and 24s. but i've given blood several times and they've never had trouble. the only thing i felt was the needle go in and then it didn't hurt. this one hurt.

The only problems I have ever had like that was when the new nurse didn't know what she was doing so I took it from her and did it myself. She didn't know what to think cause I was only like 12 years old and have had shots for years and blood drawn too.

Damn not knowing sith about electronics. I went to Circuit City today to get my computer repaired. While I was there, I checked out the car GPS systems because I get lost all the time. What they were saying went over my head.

Oh no! If I lost one of my diamonds to my engagement ring (or hell, my wedding band, since I have to have it inspected with my engagement ring, even though I'm not allowed to wear it yet) I'd cry.

Did you get it insured by the jeweler?

it's under warantee. plus, the jewler is our neighbor, so i don't think we'll have any issues getting it fixed. i just wish i could find the darn thing. i'm gonna have 'em glue that sucker in with superglue this time, lol.

Lol. Was it channel set or in prongs? Channels fall out easier and prongs are more easily-maintained. Plus prong-set rings size better.

prongs, but only two; one at the top and one at the bottom. i'm gonna have them check the other little diamond when i take it in. the big diamond in the middle has 6 prongs, so it's not going anywhere, lol.

I hated it when someone says something that totally pisses me off, but at the same time, I know they have a point somewhere down in there (even if they're conclusions are wrong). I can't even insult them in my mind, because I know it's childish. I feel like a pressure cooker right now.
