Why does my roommate thing she knows what's best for me? I know what I need to do to get healthy. I know what she needs to do to get healthy...but does she acknowledge that the girl who's spent more time in a hospital than she cares to remember knows anything? NO! "I don't think you should be using hand sanitizer and washing your hands so much." Well you know what, I think you should shut your mouth and listen to me for a minute. I only use the hand sanitizer after being in the library, before and after lunch, and after touching things I know other people who are probably sick have touched. And if the hospital told my dad that he should be using sanitizer to keep from getting sick, I figured I ought to use it since I was comign home and being around him. And besides...she's the one who's ewoking coughing up a lung without covering her mouth! And she's part of the reason I'm sick. My mother was even in the room and she wouldn't cover her mouth! It's gross! What she needs is a mirror. And to cover her mouth! I told her along with Ely at the begining of the year that if they're sick, we all need to be extra careful so that I don't get sick. If I get sick, chances are, I can't go home. UGH!

WHY do I get called for jury duty so soon after I registered? And WHY must it be on a Monday? And WHY can't I postpone it until oh, some OTHER day of the week?

Because life sucks. Monday is my busiest day... I have four out of my five classes, followed by four and a half hours of work. And I have to miss an entire day of everything because the stupid Superior Court of San Diego County refuses to start juries on days other than Monday. Show some flexibility dammit!

I better not get picked to be on an actual jury, or else I'm screwed.

I got picked for jury duty, but didn't have to actually do it because all the cases were cancelled for that judge for that week or whatever. Apparently that happens alot. Er...but the Superior Court of San Diego sounds busier than my doinky little county's court, lol.

As of Tuesday, all Ontario college teachers went on strike. Bah.

One of the teacher assistants stopped by my house a couple days ago and said that it looked like it would be another 2-3 weeks before the strike is over. GAH!

I'm kinda torn because on one hand, I don't have school....but on the other hand, I don't have school! It's good because I don't have to do work but it's bad because I need to do the work.

Stupid teachers union...

They have a postponement option, but for this particular court, you're only allowed to reschedule for Mondays. All my Mondays are the same tight schedule. And I can't postpone until school gets out, because I'll be kicked out of the dorms, and they have rules that you have to be in your registered place of residence, which for me, IS the school. So, I'm stuck.

You get paid (poorly, but you do get paid) and by law, you can't be fired from work or whatever because you're gone. They're not even allowed to take the week out of your vacation or sick time or anything. My boss said I'd be paid as though it was vacation time, but it comes from a separate fund and wouldn't have counted against me.

My problem isn't with work, it's with classes. ALL of my teachers teach by lecture, not by the book. If I miss a week of classes, I'll be lost as all hell.

There's no way I can find to get out of it. So I'm going to make myself as unappealing as possible.

The full-time teachers are mad because the schools are hiring part-time teachers who work for cheap. They essentially want higher wages and smaller classrooms because they want compensation for not getting paid for out of school work...such as marking or writing up assignments, etc.

It makes sense why they're doing it so I'm not really pissed off at them. I just don't like missing school!

Damn ASCP. I can find everything that says that I'm certified except the letter that says, "You passed. Your score was. Your certification number is.... your certificate will be in the mail in 4-6 weeks." And I need to know my certification number so I look on their website and call the help number. They leave me on hold for 10 minutes. They bounce me from department to department before finally telling me that they can't help me and I Have to go to this website. I go to the website and they want to charge me $12.50 to look up a number. Screw that
