my intense dislike of my physics teacher has now progressed to the strongest form of hatred i can muster. for one thing, our labs are utterly pointless and i still haven't figured out why they're required. this past one requires 50 bazillion calculations and he wants us to write them all out by hand, or risk getting points docked on our reports. this, my friends, is why calculators were invented: to save us such headaches. if i wanted my brain to hurt that much, i would smack my head on a brick wall.

This is why I didn't take physics.

I'm getting a little tired of one of my coworkers. I mean, I like her, but my God in heaven... First we have to start off the night either trying to watch tv while working and/or listen to a basketball game while working. The first part of the night is usually the busiest, but dude, if she's going to waste time by playing around, then I'm not going to go do her work for her to help her out, not that she has asked me to.

Then every night she has some drama going on. And it's usually stupid, like I wish those were the biggest problems in MY life. Last night it was that she didn't get to go to a basketball game and then it was that they lost and now they can't go to finals. She was in tears over this... Complaining that now she has a week off work and no plans. Well boo hoo! I wish I had a week off work with nothing to do!

And then there's the hogging of the computer. She plants her butt at that thing right away and doesn't budge it all night. I'm lucky if I can sneak in to check my labs or do order entry while she's off doing something else

Then there's her annoying tendency to try to overachieve. If you're doing something she'll jump in and practically do it for you, which tends to make you feel like she doesn't think you can do it. I've been in two code situations with her, and though they were MY kids, everybody thought they were hers because she just pipes up and literally takes over the situation, whether she needs to or not. It's a pride thing, I know, but it still pisses me off.

Oh! And let's not forget that she's all anti-social with me half the time, but if anybody...ANYBODY else shows up, she's all bubbly and talkative... Ok, maybe she doesn't like me, but I don't know why. I don't take over from her all the time and hog the freakin computer all night.

I feel sorry for anybody trying to sleep on or unit or the unit next to us too, because she is freakin loud. She talks at teh top of her lungs or louder all night long and if you tell her to quiet down, she gets pissed.

She gets pissed alot, for stupid things. Like being asked not to yell, please, at 3am when babies are trying to sleep. And other various really stupid reasons. Usually directed at her friend, with whom she gets into a pissy fight every ewoking night.

And finally....if I hear "I feel like I'm going to throw up..." one ewoking more time, I'm going to really have to kill her. Really.

Ok, I feel better.

...what could possibly be going through my roommate's mind that would want to make her stay up at school when she's hacking up a lung and making me and our other roommate sick? she's been sick for three weeks...it's about time she went home...and i'm done taking care of her. she needs to realize that she's making everyone else sick by being so stubborn. and what could be going through the administration's mind that's keeping them from closing school when 19% of the student body is gone sick or is there sick because they don't want to miss school. "We want to isolate it." well, everyone who isn't sick is getting sick from those who are and keep coming to school. influenza has been an epidemic in the dorms (majority of the 19% sick were from there) and yet they're keeping the school open. and it doesn't help that for some reason, the international students can't get flu shots if they're under 18...and they're living in a dormitory! it's stupid! i hate influenza.

Ok I'm getting freaking ticked off at myself. I'm sewing a new shirt for work and I keep on messing it up. I sew the interfacing together wrong and don't notice it until I put in the neckline. I put the ribbon ties in on the wrong side of the shirt. I don't get one of the sleeves put in right. I go to sew the neckline down (because it's a wrap shirt and the one I did before gapes too much, thus I'm modifying the pattern) and I sew the fabric to the neckline.

My name isn't Grace for a reason. I knocked a ceramic candle holder off a shelf yesterday as I was looking for something on my desk. And it shattered into a gazillion pieces. And being that I was barefoot and now have broken glass all over my carpet, I turn to go grab some sandals or something so that I can clean it up without cutting my foot. Bad idea. I put my foot down and manage to insert a large piece of ceramic into the ball of my foot. Good thing I was home alone at the time. So I pull it out and grab some sandals and go to my bathroom but then realize that there's no washcloths in my bathroom, so I hop across the house (tan carpet) to my parents bathroom to grab a washcloth to clean off the cut foot which is bleeding like a stuck pig and the top of my other foot which has since gotten bloody. Not looking after I get done, I leave bloody footprints in my parents bathroom. I go back to my bathroom and stick some gauze between my toes and kinda hold it in place over the cut while I grab bandaids and antimicrobial ointment. I take the gauze off and my foot is all bloody again, so, first aid kit in hand, I grab an alcohol prep pad. Bad idea. That burned like no other and I start bleeding more because I've interrupted the clotting process. So more gauze to catch the blood until I slap on bandaid across the bottom of my foot and another through the space between my big toe and 2nd toe down the foot to hold the first in place. And now I can't put pressure on the ball of my foot and I've left bloody footprints on 3 rugs and my carpet. My mom got home from work last night, saw her bloody bathroom and got all worried. Just call my Gimpy for the next few days

WHY do I get called for jury duty so soon after I registered? And WHY must it be on a Monday? And WHY can't I postpone it until oh, some OTHER day of the week?

Because life sucks. Monday is my busiest day... I have four out of my five classes, followed by four and a half hours of work. And I have to miss an entire day of everything because the stupid Superior Court of San Diego County refuses to start juries on days other than Monday. Show some flexibility dammit!

I better not get picked to be on an actual jury, or else I'm screwed.
