Actually a penny dropped from a building would not be able to impale a human nor create a hole in cement. Due to Air resistance, it will reach terminal velocity and an acceleration of 9.8meters per square seconds...

Dependant on a few factors. If it were thrown with one of the faces pointed down (level with horizon) it would create more drag than if it were dropped perpendicular to the horizon (falling upright, so the thin side impacts the ground,skull etc).

Damn the outrageous prices for textbooks. A geography textbooks is $132.15! Next semester, my books, USED, with one class not having posted a book list, with one optional textbook not counted, is $283, plus tax.

Forgive me for sounding like I'm biting off your head. I know you're trying to make me feel better, but my mom:

• Still holds me accountable for things I said or did when I was FIVE.
  
• Has equated my love for learning with a weakeness on my part.
  
• Once woke me up in the middle of the night to ask me if I was gay.
  
• Blames me because she felt guilty after my dad died.
  
• Continues to hold me to my dad's standard. I really never knew him that well. (By the way, it seems everyone does this. It really pisses me off.)
  
• Once told me she was ashamed of me because I wouldn't get a haircut. Because, you know, honors students who have never done drugs or drank is something to be ashamed of.
  
• Blames me because my dad did not have a will and she had to go through all kinds of red tape with judges, lawyers, etc. about the estate.
  
• Waited until I was 18 and she didn't have to verify the paperwork and began cashing in on my share. I now have nothing and nothing to show for it.
  
• When I visit a relate, will throws up something about how I just want to visit them. Well, yeah, they don't bith on me.
  
• Has thrown up my political work on numerous occaisions, because it's so horrible for something to care about the future.

But for me:

I really want to freakin' kill someone. This is the third freakin' time someone has hacked into my board. And now I'm ready to throw things. If I ever find out who did this to my board, I'm going to freakin' kill them.

Deleting members, ok...I can get those back.

Turning my other admin's name into profanity, ok...easily changed.

Deleting a part of my board.... ticks me off to no end. I can't get that back. I can remake the boards, but all the topics and posts are freakin' gone.

At least it was just my entertainment area.....like movies, TV, gaming, sports and such. But all the games are gone too.....Movie game, book game, word assoc., and stuff.

on the note of hacking....

some genius downloaded a virus on our school computers a coulpe weeks ago. that in and of itself isn't a huge deal, it happens all the time. but now that we have the network back up, we have to back door our way into everything. i didn't even have a Control Panel until i got into one of the teacher's accounts, copied it to a jump drive, and stuck it on my Desktop. but i still can't do anything with it. none of the settings can be changed. we can't even use the DOS prompt. but we can get into the hard drive which has the whole school network on it and mess with stuff. how retarded is that?! :evil:
