Dammit! It's raining! I have a class in about thirty minutes that is in another building. And I left my umbrella in my car, which is ever farther away.

my co-worker/ friend type acquaintance had a little fun with me at work today. I was mowing rough around tee boxes (I work on a groundscrew at a golf course) and accidentally picked up the rope in the blades, and just then the super drives by (my boss) and stops and says a few things about not need to mow so close. Then later my friend Matt, about 6 or 7 years my senior mind you, pulls up and says, "I've got some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that Don really was pissed about the rope, so pissed that he won't even talk to you. He sent me over here, he was talking about firing you. The good news is that he said I could deal with it and I'm not gonna fire you." Now this was very early in the morning so I had the rest of the work day to let that set in. At the end of the day we're in the shop and Matt asks if Don had talk to me yet, and I said no, and he said "wow he must really be mad at you. I'd bring some donuts in the morning to try to soften things, or I don't know if you'll be on the job here much longer."

As I'm getting in my car, the No. 2 guy, Beau, comes up to me and says, "You know, Matt's just messing with you..."

As angry as I had been earlier at the supposed irrationality of my boss, I was no longer upset, I burst into laughter and vowed my revenge on Matt.

...I was mowing rough around tee boxes ...

Until you said you were on the groundscrew, that sounded REALLY weird.

I haven't a plan yet, but it will have to be a step up from the usual pranks I've pulled on him in the past, i.e putting golf balls in his pickup-s bed so the make noises when he's driving, or when a placed strips of paper taped to his wiper blades during a rainstorm, and he ran down got in his truck, started to drive off and then had to get out of his car and take the paper off.

possibly I will take tubs of mud in my car and completely cover his truck in it while he's playing, if its on a nice hot day the sun will bake it dry and be very difficult to remove. That's a fun one.

But I'd rather do someting more psychlogical and emotionally scarring ...

Okay:

People who call builders round for their conversions at 8:30 pm.

People who do this continually for the past 2 months.

Builders who constantly bloody drill and cut bricks and sith. It's really pissing me off and making me grumpy.

Alright. So I start downloading the free Galaxies trial from Fileplanet last night, and expect it to finish by morning. ((Heck it's only 1.87 gig :p)).

I wake up to find that it didn't finish, because apparently, it ran out of space, although I can quite clearly see that it has all the space in the world ((7 or 8 gig)).

Why do they mock me with these free catches of gaming gold and then throw it away as it is nearing?

Someone explain to me why changing $60 American to Canadian and then back to American should result in the loss of $10.

lol, the lesson to be learned here, folks, is: DON'T EVER EXCHANGE MONEY IN THE STATES!!!! This country is too stoopid to handle it properly.

Admit it. Canada rocks. Spend more than 3 days here...and BAM! Converted for all eternity.
