Chickenman 9 Posted May 19, 2006 Well, the passengers in the movie did something to stop the attack. The others didn't, simple as that. That's nothing bad about the other passengers. They didn't know what was going on, and they didn't do anything. The passengers featured in the movie found out what was going on, and did something incredibly heroic to prevent the attack. Thus, they get a movie made about them. In the trailer they implied that the passengers on United 93 were courageous - something along the lines of 'One group of passengers decided to fight ~usual garbage about freedom~ this was fligth 93 ~etc~'. I think. Exactly, one group of passengers did something. The others didn't. That doesn't mean the others were at fault, it just means the other group went above and beyond. Neil1 0 Posted May 19, 2006 Why are you argueing this with me? Have you seen the film or the trailer? Yes... because freedom is such garbage... In the adjective sense. It garbagizes the qualities of freedome and liberty. :p
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted May 20, 2006 Why are you argueing this with me? Have you seen the film or the trailer? arguing's just what we do around here :p

Chickenman 9 Posted May 22, 2006 Why are you argueing this with me? Have you seen the film or the trailer? I've seen the trailer, havn't seen the movie yet. And as for why am I arguing, you said that the trailer put the other passengers in a bad light. I disagreed, and offered my opinion. Just a good old fashioned debate. Neil1 0 Posted May 23, 2006 You obviously haven't seen the same trailer. Or at least the tagline, 'The Flight That Fought Back'. The question was why, not how. :p

GI_Admiral 2 Posted May 26, 2006 X-Men the last stand: B+ Wasn't as good as others. Spots where its obvious directers were like "Insert humor, audience laughs, continue with story". Darker though (suprisingly so). Juggernaut was awesome, Can't believe they actaully added his infamous line! That made the movie Disappointed about the roles of some mutants (I'll wait until its been out for a while so no spoilers i guess)
Drake 53 Posted May 29, 2006 X-Men: The Last Stand: hmmm...A- I enjoyed it. Loved the music. Loved the ending with Magneto's chess game and the post-credit scene. Juggernaut was classic. All hail Vinny Jones. I was hoping they'd do more with Colossus. He was supposed to be RUSSIAN! Ah well. I liked how they added Angel in there. Might be a set-up for Apocalypse. Archangel...oh yeah. GI_Admiral 2 Posted May 29, 2006 lol I think they set up Angel to have a bigger part than he did...(with the 20 yrs, then 10 yrs scene at the beginning). They better do apocalypse then :p
Princess 35 Posted May 30, 2006 Over the Hedge: A Very cute and funny movie. Hammy the Squirrel is by far my favorite character. The movie had a good message in it and the animators did great jobs on the animals. Very good movie to see if you want to laugh

GI_Admiral 2 Posted May 30, 2006 Surprised no one's done this yet: The DaVinci Code: B This movie sure ddi stray away from the books "Controversy". I think that in general, this book was a bad idea to turn into a movie....There were many holes (due to time restraints) that left some people in the audeince confused at parts, or left out extra meanings that made things more interesting. It was, however, decently suspensful at times, but all in all seemed to a shell of the book. Dunno if Tom Hanks fit the role as well. Still, overall good story, action scenes pretty cool. I would still suggest reading the book though...
Princess 35 Posted May 31, 2006 "I like the cookie." Love that line. That and when RJ uses the laser pointer to get Hammy to do what he wants
Darth Paladin 0 Posted May 31, 2006 lol I think they set up Angel to have a bigger part than he did...(with the 20 yrs, then 10 yrs scene at the beginning). They better do apocalypse then Yes but don't you think we've had enough blue characters?

Tsl 7 Posted June 2, 2006 X-men 3 - B/C It was a good movie, I guess. Not the best. It pretty much urinated all over the original story, which was a little irritating, and I was never even a huge X-men fan before. Ian Mcklellan (which I suddenly find I am unable to spell) did an awesome job, as always. The Kitty character felt like she was added last second with a few random lines and pointlessnesses. They didn't even bother to develop her character, yet they made her a featured person. And where the ewok is Gambit?!!!
Darth Paladin 0 Posted June 5, 2006 His Dark Materials Book One- The Northern Lights. B+ Book Two- The Subtle Knife. A Book Three- The Amber Spyglass. ??? I found these books in my room, turns out they were my sisters, anyway she said I could have them and being in desperate need of something to read I opened The Northern Lights and didn't put it down for a long time. The main character, Lyra, is a simple girl living in Jordan College (A fiction establishment in Oxford) but a series of events sweep her away from her beloved home and eventually she begins a journey North, throughout this book she ponders the enigma of the aurora (The northern lights for those who don't know.) Eventually she is brought to a point directly beneath the lights and her father (a man named Lord Asriel who she believed was her uncle) tears a gateway into another world and Lyra swiftly follows. The narrative is simple at first, as most things are presented from Lyra's stream of conciousness, but it steadily becomes more and more complex as the enigma unravels. The other characters are all well devised and the character of Iorek, an armoured bear from the north is truly one that cgenerates a great deal of warmth and empathy. The second book features Will, a young boy from our own world who is on the run for murdering an intruder in his home, he discovers a gate to another world and soon meets Lyra. Things begin to unfold as the secrets of Dust, elementary particles that are attracted to adult humans, are revealed. I haven't been able to put this down and I really would reccomend this to anyone who likes a good read.
Ana 15 Posted June 9, 2006 yeah, whatever happened to him? The actor declined to come back. Something about the body makeup being too much of a hassle.
GI_Admiral 2 Posted June 9, 2006 They casted a guy as Gambit, but he couldn't make the acting dates so they cut him out is what I heard. And yeah....damn you Alan Cumming and your pornstaresque name!
Alexander 0 Posted June 9, 2006 You don't cut an entire storyline because your actor can't show up. You recast. :p
